What You’ll Do
- License review and risk evaluation of various forms of third-party IP (Intellectual Property) and other materials, including:
- Free and Open-Source Software (FOSS),
- Third-party web services / APIs,
- Third-party content and standards (e.g. data sets).
- Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders on licensing efforts of third-party IP through meetings, emails, and service tickets.
- High level review of the technical integration of third-party IP.
- Conduct M&A due diligence reviews of third-party IP, ensuring alignment with SAP's Standards during acquisitions.
- Prepare and present approval requests and risk evaluations and mitigation plans.
- Interpret license materials as well as technical use cases to help SAP make informed decisions.
- Enhance, simplify and improve third-party license review process in collaboration with legal team.
What You Bring
- Bachelor or master’s degree in Business, Law, Management of Information Systems, Engineering or equivalent degree.
- Expertise in open source or other third-party licensing terms.
- Familiarity with licensing, contracts, risk assessment and compliance.
- Understanding of compliance concepts and interest in legal/finance processes.
- Knowledge of the software development lifecycle is an advantage.
- Customer service skills - high service attitude, while making no compromises on compliance.
- Ability to think proactively and create pragmatic solutions.
- High level of ownership, responsibility, motivation, and drive
- Project Management Skills
- Flexible team player able to deal with transition and change.
- Being able to work independently.
