What you’ll do

Are you passionate about clean code, cloud innovation, and building real-world solutions that make an impact and help towards a decarbonized economy? Join our agile Scrum team as an Associate Java Developer (f/m/d), where you’ll help shape the SAP Green Ledger, a cloud-native SaaS application running on SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP).

This is a fantastic opportunity to learn from experienced engineers, work with modern technologies, and contribute to software used by customers around the world. You’ll grow your skills in Java, microservices, and cloud architecture - while working in a fun, collaborative, and forward-thinking environment!

Tasks:

• Collaborate with product managers, UX designers, and other developers to design and implement features for SAP Green Ledger using Java and Spring Boot.
• Develop and deploy cloud-native applications on SAP Business Technology Platform (Cloud Foundry).
• Develop, test, and maintain high-quality Java-based microservices and scalable RESTful APIs.
• Build responsive UIs using SAPUI5 and Fiori Elements.
• Debug and resolve technical issues to ensure seamless user experiences.
• Participate in code reviews, pair programming, and continuous learning sessions.
• Document code changes, create technical documentation, and contribute to knowledge sharing within the team.
• Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies, including AI, and contribute ideas to enhance the product.

What you bring

We are looking for motivated developers who are passionate about technology and eager to contribute to innovative solutions. As an Associate Java Developer (f/m/d), you’ll bring:

• A degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Solid foundation in Java programming and object-oriented design.
• Enthusiasm for cloud-native development, microservices architectures and eagerness to learn.
• Knowledge of RESTful APIs and database technologies like SQL or NoSQL.
• Familiarity with frameworks such as Spring Boot.
• Problem-solving and analytical skills with a structured approach to efficiently tackle complex challenges and deliver quality results.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively within a team.
• Business fluent in English and German.
• Helpful is experience in leveraging AI to automate end to end business processes and reduce manual work, secondly to increase development efficiency
