About SAP Labs Network and SAP Labs Vietnam:

SAP Labs Network is the global R&D setup where over 55,000 engineers around the world create, operate and support the most innovative enterprise solutions for SAP’s customers worldwide. SAP Labs Vietnam aims to become one of the key locations within the SAP Labs Network to support the engineering growth for SAP.

What you’ll build

In this role, you'll develop SAP Business Network Global Track and Trace on SAP BTP cloud platform.

• Lead and grow a high-performing empowered product team in Vietnam to design, develop, and operate the SAP Business Network Global Track and Trace product used by enterprises worldwide

• Build cloud-native, event-driven microservices with Java and Spring Boot; real-time streaming with Kafka; user experiences with SAPUI5; and robust REST/OData APIs for integrations.

• Ensure the platform meets enterprise-grade expectations for scalability, reliability, security, and performance through strong architecture, code quality, testing, and operational excellence.

• Establish and evolve engineering best practices for CI/CD, automated testing, code reviews, observability (logging, metrics, tracing), and incident management with a blameless postmortem culture.

• Collaborate daily with global teams to align on architecture, standards, shared services, and delivery plans.

What you bring

• 10+ years of professional software engineering experience, including 3+ years leading or managing development teams delivering cloud products or services.

• Strong hands-on background in Java and Spring Boot, with a track record of designing and operating scalable, secure microservices and RESTful APIs.

• Front-end exposure with SAPUI5/OpenUI5 or modern web frameworks; ability to collaborate closely with UX and front-end engineers.

• Proficiency in cloud-native development: cloud foundry, CI/CD pipelines, git workflows, automated testing (unit, integration, contract).

• Experience with relational and NoSQL datastores, caching, schema design, and performance tuning.

• Familiarity with the SAP ecosystem (SAP Business Network, SAP BTP, S/4HANA integration, OData,SAP Cloud Integration) is a strong plus.

• Observability and operational excellence mindset: metrics, tracing, alerting, incident response, and continuous improvement.

• Excellent communication in English and comfort working across cultures and time zones; strong stakeholder management and expectation-setting skills.

• Domain knowledge in supply chain, logistics, or track and trace is a plus

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience
