Position Summary

In this role, the ideal candidate will get the chance to direct the design and construction for one of the most advanced semiconductor fabs in the world. Specifically, the candidate will be responsible for producing cutting-edge detailed designs of process water and chemical systems that are fully integrated with state-of-the-art semiconductor manufacturing processes.
The ideal candidate will create conceptual designs, and more importantly, also bring those blueprints to life.

Role and Responsibilities:

Here’s What You’ll Be Responsible For:

  • Responsible for the engineering design, specification development, and OEM procurement of process water and chemical systems.

  • Manage and direct multidisciplinary teams consisting of internal design engineers (SAMOO) and third party design consultants to design fab facilities in both greenfield and retrofit setting.

  • Direct and facilitate the creation, review, and permitting of construction documents from gathering factory utility table to IFC (issue for construction).

  • Provide construction administration to on-going construction activities by reviewing and approving documentation such as submittals and requests for information.

  • Oversee projects to meet design criteria, scope, budget and schedule.

  • Provide chemical engineering knowledge and guidance to the site organizations in support of safety, reliability, quality, environmental, and cost objectives.

  • Collaborate with operations and maintenance team to develop plans for maximizing operational and maintenance efficiency.

  • Develop plans for capacity increase, product change, and facility improvements to support foundry customer needs by ensuring timely and reliable operations of process utilities in and out of the fab.

Skills and Qualifications:

Here's what you'll need:

  • BS or higher in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering
  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience with semiconductor facilities Process Water and Chemicals systems experience designing, maintaining, or installing of distribution piping, related system equipment and infrastructure.
  • Minimum 5-7 years of relevant work experience outside of semiconductor manufacturing facilities such as Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC), oil and gas, chemical manufacturing, industrial wastewater treatment, or other related field.
  • PE and PMP certifications are preferred.
  • LEAN/Six Sigma certification is a plus.
  • Experienced in reviewing P&IDs and construction documents.
  • Experienced with managing large scale construction projects.
  • Experience in semiconductor gas and chemical systems.
  • Knowledge of chemical compatibility for materials for fluids commonly used in facilities chemical and process systems.
  • Permitting and Building Code compliance related to mechanical systems and associated infrastructure.
  • Familiarity with using Excel for data analysis and visualization.
  • Ability to work with large teams, communicate effectively in front of large audiences, and maintain cohesive environment across the organization
  • Software, and Tools: Microsoft office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) - Required, Bluebeam REVU, AutoCAD, Navisworks, PIPE-FLO or other fluid dynamics simulators, SQL or other bigdata experience preferred.

The current base salary range for this role is between $70,480 - $179,090. Individual base pay rates will depend on factors including duties, work location, education, skills, qualifications and experience. Total compensation for this position will include a competitive benefits package and may include participation in company incentive compensation programs, which are based on factors to include organizational and individual performance.
