Role Summary

Orchestrating Partner Project Success:

As a Partner Project Manager (PPM), you will serve as a key enabler for our Salesforce ecosystem partners. You'll drive project excellence and consistent implementation quality by providing strategic governance oversight, proactive risk mitigation, and operational guidance. This role is crucial for empowering partners to deliver seamless customer experiences and maximize value realization from their Salesforce investments.

Your Impact & Key Responsibilities

  • Central Point of Coordination: Serve as the primary orchestrator across multiple partner-led projects, ensuring meticulous progress tracking, comprehensive status reporting, and unwavering alignment with Salesforce's stringent standards.

  • Proactive Project Health & Governance: Conduct periodic, in-depth project reviews to assess health, evaluate risk posture, track milestone achievement, and ensure the highest standards of delivery quality. Provide actionable feedback, insightful recommendations, and industry best practices to continuously elevate partner project execution and governance.

  • Risk Mitigation & Resolution: Monitor and actively manage project risks, critical issues, intricate dependencies, and escalations, ensuring rigorous documentation and diligent resolution follow-ups. Act as an advocate for customers during the triage and resolution of high-severity cases, facilitating timely resolution.

  • Drive Standardized Delivery Excellence: Champion consistency in partner delivery practices by proactively identifying gaps and leading efforts to define or refine governance content, standardize project templates, develop robust Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and create impactful enablement materials.

  • Strategic Partner Engagement: Facilitate regular cadence calls with partner teams to meticulously track delivery status, proactively surface key issues, and ensure alignment on implementation objectives and milestones.

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Support Partner Sales Managers (PSMs), Partner Account Managers (PAMs), and other Salesforce internal stakeholders by providing invaluable project insights, identifying partner capability trends, and guiding advisory escalations.

  • Portfolio Oversight & Strategic Alignment: Maintain comprehensive oversight across a diverse portfolio of multiple partners and engagements simultaneously, ensuring seamless alignment with broader partner enablement goals and Salesforce's strategic objectives.

  • Reporting & Insights: Prepare and publish incisive reports and status updates for senior Salesforce leadership, contributing valuable data and insights that also support crucial partner maturity initiatives.

  • Best Practice Development: Develop and maintain internal-facing documentation of project learnings, delivery quality benchmarks, and essential partner maturity indicators, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Educational Foundation: Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, or a closely related field.

  • Extensive Project/Program Management: 10-15+ years of progressive experience in project or program management, with a strong preference for backgrounds within cloud/SaaS environments or professional services organizations.

  • Salesforce Ecosystem Exposure: Prior direct exposure to Salesforce delivery projects or a related ecosystem is a non-negotiable requirement.

  • Multitasking & Prioritisation Mastery: Proven expertise in concurrently managing multiple complex projects, demonstrating an exceptional ability to prioritise, execute with precision, and communicate effectively under pressure.

  • Cloud Delivery Lifecycle Acumen: A profound understanding of cloud-based solution delivery lifecycles, methodologies (including Agile or hybrid models), and relevant tools.

  • Governance & Influence: Demonstrated capability in leading high-level governance discussions, expertly managing diverse stakeholders, and influencing critical delivery outcomes, particularly at the C-level.

  • Exceptional Organization & Detail: Highly organized, meticulously detail-oriented, with outstanding follow-through, documentation, and task tracking skills.

  • Tool Proficiency: Expert proficiency in industry-standard project management tools, collaboration platforms (e.g., Slack, Quip, Jira, Trello), and comprehensive productivity suites (e.g., Google Workspace, MS Office—especially Excel/Sheets). Should be aware about DevOps tool sets required to deliver a project on cloud (hands on experience in setting up and use will be preferred).

  • Communication & Collaboration: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, complemented by a consultative and highly collaborative working style that fosters strong partnerships.

  • Analytical & Problem-Solving: Superior analytical and problem-solving skills, with the innate ability to dissect complex issues and rapidly identify robust solutions.

  • Ownership & Customer-First Mindset: A high degree of personal ownership, a strong sense of urgency, and an unwavering customer-first mindset.

Preferred Skills

  • Familiarity with key Salesforce Clouds (Sales, Service, Experience, Marketing) and a deep understanding of their platform capabilities.

  • Familiarity with DevOps tool sets required to deliver a project on cloud (hands on experience in setting up and use will be preferred).

  • Ability to expertly construct or critically review project deliverables such as comprehensive staffing plans, detailed solution proposals, intricate milestone plans, or high-level architecture summaries.

  • Exposure to partner enablement initiatives, partner lifecycle management, or channel operations is a significant advantage.

  • Proven content creation experience for governance assets, comprehensive best practices documentation, or Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).

Examples of Day-to-Day Activities

  • Strategic Alignment: Consistently communicate and align with partner delivery leads on critical implementation objectives, key milestones, and emerging concerns.

  • Performance Monitoring: Track and report meticulously on risk mitigation plans, precise delivery statuses, and comprehensive project health dashboards.

  • Proactive Issue Resolution: Proactively identify and flag potential delivery challenges, then expertly coordinate cross-functional resolution efforts.

  • Best Practice Adoption: Guide partners in the seamless adoption of standardised project governance practices and proven templates.

  • Knowledge Management: Develop and meticulously maintain internal-facing documentation of project learnings, essential delivery quality benchmarks, and crucial partner maturity indicators.

Why This Role Matters
