DET IT is looking for a Software Engineer (Senior Member of the Technical Staff) to join our growing Information Technology team. This is a key role in our IT Finance engineering team. This is a hybrid role involving configuration, development, and testing of Mule Soft and Workday integrations and APIs. In addition to strong Mule Soft & Workday expertise, the individual should have experience with manual testing and the ability to build test automations using tools such as Selenium, Mule Soft RPA, or similar frameworks. You must have a solid background in Finance applications with hands-on experience on Mulesoft and a good understanding of industry best practices. You will be responsible for configuration, development and testing through all phases of the implementation lifecycle.

Responsibilities:

  • Build and maintain Mule Soft integrations and APIs to support Finance applications, connecting to platforms such as Salesforce, Rev Pro, Vertex, and Workday.
  • Collaborate closely with internal Mule Soft support teams, business users, and 3rd party integrators to understand and deliver on business requirements.
  • Participate in product and feature design sessions with developers, designers, product managers, and business systems analysts.
  • Develop effective, scalable, and maintainable MUnit test automation.
  • Build additional test automations using frameworks such as Mule Soft RPA, Mule Soft IDP, Selenium, or similar tools to ensure end-to-end integration quality.
  • Contribute to and participate in peer code reviews to ensure quality and consistency.
  • Diagnose, track, and resolve integration and quality issues in a timely manner.
  • Define and execute test plans, test cases, and defect reporting to ensure product quality meets stakeholder expectations.

Required Skills:

  • 8+ years of hands-on implementation experience with Mule Soft Any Point Platform(Any Point Studio, Mule ESB, API Management, Cloud Hub 2.0) and** Workday Integrations Technology**
  • Strong knowledge of SOA, REST, and web services, with a solid understanding of integration design patterns.
  • Proven experience in designing and developing APIs aligned with best practices, including complex Data Weave transformations, routing, error handling, and expressions.
  • Experience building and maintaining integrations with finance applications and domains such as Receivables, Customer taxes, Assets, Banking, and Settlement.
  • Skilled in data mapping across heterogeneous systems and formats.
  • Hands-on experience with external integrations (e.g., FTP/SFTP servers, AWS S3) and 3rd party tools like Salesforce, Rev Pro, Vertex, and Workday.
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting expertise, including ability to query and analyze logs in Splunk or similar tools.
  • Having Workday Integration Studio / EIB experience in addition is a plus.
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills to work effectively with technical and business teams, and ability to clearly report status and risks.
  • Experience working in Agile/Scrum methodology.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or equivalent relevant experience.

Desired Skills:

  • Consulting with Architects and other leaders on API Implementations.
  • Working with Architects to design solutions to Business problems using existing and new API functionality.
  • Git branching, merging, committing, and pull requests
  • HTTPS, SQL, MQ, Certificates, SSL, XML, JSON.
  • Experience developing on Java or Force.com.
  • Working knowledge of Workday Security, Business Processes, Reports, Calc Fields, Integrations framework, Studio, WD extend, XSLT, Connectors & Document Transformation and BIRT.
  • Experience with Version Control, Code Collaboration, and Continuous Integration Systems

The typical base salary range for this position is $148,500 - $223,900 annually. In select cities within the San Francisco and New York City metropolitan area, the base salary range for this role is $178,900 - $24,600 annually.

The range represents base salary only, and does not include company bonus, incentive for sales roles, equity or benefits, as applicable.
