Job Description:

Pay Type: Exempt / Salary paid Twice Per Month

Annual Salary Pay: $80,000-$85,000

Annual Bonus: up to 10% of base salary

Schedule: Monday-Friday

Hours: Day shift with flexibility to work alternate days and hours as needed to meet business demands

  • Strong safety experience preferred with ability to shape safety culture across multiple facilities, proactively identifying risks, guiding operational leaders, and ensuring consistent follow‑through on corrective actions that truly stick

  • Prior success in measurable improvements in OSHA/DOT compliance preferred, to foster a reduction of incidents and elevate safety performance

  • Experience leading training and development for frontline employees and leadership teams preferred

Summary

The Senior Safety Analyst is responsible for managing safety, health, and security processes and providing leadership to employee safety and health issues at large distribution facility (locations). This position is be responsible for monitoring compliance with regulatory agencies as well as, internal Ryder safety and health requirements. Position will support operational personnel to ensure that continuous improvement systems are in place to drive positive results relative to employee safety programs, safety compliance, worker's compensation and injury/collision experience.

Essential Functions

  • Oversight of multiple facilities and some travel will be involved.

  • Support administrative team relative to leadership of SHS issues.

  • Coordinate employee and management SHS training and development needs.

  • Coordinates facility safety/security related occurrence root cause investigations and implement appropriate corrective actions.

Additional Responsibilities

  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree required in Safety or Health or equivalent experience

  • Two (2) years or more in business with direct employee management required

  • Two (2) years or more in management of employee safety and health issues or a working knowledge of OSHA/DOT regulatory standards is preferred required

The compensation offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate’s relevant experience; education, including relevant degrees or certifications; work location; market data/ranges; internal equity; internal salary ranges; etc. The position may also be eligible to receive an annual bonus, commission, and/or long-term incentive plan based on the level and/or type. Compensation ranges for the position are below:
