Join the Windsor Locks, CT team as a Tool Design Engineering Intern this summer. This role is onsite, in Windsor Locks, CT. This role may be eligible for relocation.

What You Will Do:

• You will be responsible for designing effective and efficient tooling for use on various aircraft components. The designs must meet site safety requirements, performance targets, and general design standards.
• You will also be exposed to assisting in the development of new processes to help make the Tool Engineering and Procurement teams more efficient.

What You Will Learn:

• You will learn aerospace tool design concepts.
• You will learn realistic manufacturing techniques.
• You will learn how to communicate across multi-national teams.

Qualifications You Must Have:

• Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and student must be pursuing a Bachelor’s or advanced degree in an applicable discipline.
• U.S. Person (U.S. citizen, permanent resident, or granted refugee or asylee status) as defined here: https://www.ecfr.gov/current/title-22/chapter-I/subchapter-M/part-120/subpart-C/section-120.62.

Qualifications We Prefer:

• Pursuing a mechanical engineering degree.
• Ability to read blueprints.
• An open mind when it comes to assisting with creating new processes.
• Experience in CAD.
• Unigraphics/NX CAD software.
• VBA/Python coding.
• Time spent in a manufacturing environment.
• GD&T familiarity.

The salary range for this role is 37,000 USD - 82,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
