Job Description:

As a HR Generalist, you will be responsible for a variety of Human Resources tasks or programs, including advising people managers on the execution of performance management, coaching, corrective action issues, team building, employee development and compliance programs. You will provide primary operational (daily) support for our managers and employees. We ask that you have team participation and interface within all areas of Human Resources to provide support for managers and employees. The HRG will also help expand the HR presence throughout the organization and support culture shifts through targeted programs.

You will report to the Manager, Sr. HR Business Partner and have a hybrid schedule working in Dubai, United Arab Emirates.

UAE Nationals (Emiratis) are strongly encouraged to apply.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Partner with HRBPs, Co Es leaders at a local level to bring value and support to the business through execution of recruitment, performance management, coaching, corrective action issues, team building, employee development, compliance programs, execution of university relations programs/activities.
  • Provide feedback to HRBPs, COEs and HR Services to assist those functions to deliver continuous improvement and consistency to all employees.
  • Local deployment support of HR programs.
  • Deliver HR training activities provided by the COEs or HR Services to managers and employees.
  • Partner with HRBP and Legal on execution of employee investigations.
  • Provide regional benefits support when needed.
  • Require data for local activities when needed: tax audit, investigation, invoice data entry, legal review, EHS, compensation guidance, represent company in employee dispute.
  • Manage, with input from hiring manager, all voluntary terminations, reductions in force. This includes planning, costing, and documenting all stages of the exit (with the support from HRBPs).
  • Ensure, when site specific, all local policies and procedures are up to date along with any transition needed according to local legal requirements.
  • Provide guidance to local managers on performance management to prevent employee disputes.
  • Provide support for on-site audit/compliance reviews (regulatory/legal requirements). Comply with local laws related to ensuring a positive, non-discriminatory, and safe work environment, and local union or work council requirements. These changes may include reviewing policies, procedures, handbooks, and employment documents.
  • Provide support for any company-wide changes or programs, such as employee development, restructuring, support HRBPs with organizational design and change management efforts.
  • Provide local support for corporate programs, such as engagement and inclusion programs, global voices (employee survey) and action planning.

The Essentials

You Will Have:

  • Bachelor's Degree within Human Resources, Business or similar.
  • Minimum 5 years' human resources experience, including direct, hands-on experience managing employment issues.
  • Solid knowledge of UAE labour legislation.
  • Previous experience in a global matrixed organization within a technology environment.
  • Very good command of English and Arabic.
