Job Title: General Accounting & Controlling Manager
Location: Katowice, Poland - hybrid model of work
Reports to: Director, Global Finance Operations
Role Overview
We are looking for a visionary General Accounting & Controlling Manager to join our Global General Accounting (Records to Report) organization and lead a transformation journey within Rockwell's centralized accounting team in Poland. You will focus on applying AI, Copilot advanced functionality, automation, and big data analytics to deliver value realization across General Accounting processes, ensuring autonomous closing, accounting and controlling capabilities and driving operational excellence.
Strategic Impact:
This role is a cornerstone of Rockwell's Global Finance Digital Transformation Strategy, driving the evolution from traditional accounting to a data-driven, AI-enabled finance ecosystem
. By implementing advanced automation and AI Copilot capabilities, you will:-Accelerate global close cycles, improving agility and responsiveness to business needs.
- Enhance decision-making through predictive analytics and autonomous controlling, ensuring real-time insights for leadership.
- Deliver measurable value by reducing operational costs, improving compliance, and unlocking efficiencies across global finance operations.
- Position Rockwell as a leader in digital finance innovation, setting benchmarks for automation and AI adoption in the industry.
Your Responsibilities:

Leadership & Transformation- Lead and inspire, encouraging a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.

Define and execute a strategic roadmap for transforming General Accounting into a digitally enabled, AI-driven function.

AI & Automation Enablement- Deploy AI Copilot advanced functionality to improve reconciliations, variance analytics, and journal entry processes.

Integrate AI-driven insights into daily operations to reduce manual effort, improve accuracy, and accelerate month-end close.

Champion the use of predictive analytics and machine learning for anomaly detection and proactive risk management.

Big Data & Autonomous Controlling- Collaborate with Finance Technology and Data Science teams to use big data platforms for real-time financial insights.

Ensure autonomous controlling capabilities by embedding AI into forecasting, variance analysis, and performance monitoring.

Manage projects that transform data into applicable intelligence for strategic decision-making.

Value Realization & Continuous Improvement- Establish Indicators to measure the impact of AI and automation on efficiency, compliance, and cost optimization.

Promote adoption of AI Copilot tools across global finance teams to maximize Return on investment and enhance user experience.

Be a change leader, ensuring a smooth integration of advanced technologies into existing workflows.

Operational Excellence & Compliance- Oversee global general ledger accounting, month-end close, and compliance with IFRS/US GAAP standards.

Maintain internal controls and governance frameworks to safeguard data integrity and regulatory compliance.
The Essentials
You Will Have:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field;
- 8 years of experience in General Accounting and Controlling, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
The Preferred
You Might Also Have:
- CPA/CFA degree
- Proven experience in finance transformation, including AI and automation implementation.
- Strong knowledge of ERP systems (SAP preferred), RPA tools, AI platforms, and data analytics solutions.
- Fluent in English;
