Job Description:

We are looking for a Software Engineer/Tester to join a team of about 5 developers working on key Rockwell Automation products. The team is a part of a larger international team based in the USA. The role combines 50% software testing and50% full-stack development. The primary focus will be testing application components for industrial automation, particularly those related to Factory Talk Optix. You will be responsible for designing and executing test cases, developing automated tests, performing functional and regression testing, and participating in product architecture and design reviews. On the development side, you will contribute to building product features using modern backend and frontend frameworks.

You will report to the Manager located in Prague and have a hybrid schedule working in modern offices in Holešovice.

Your Responsibilities:

• Design and execute manual and automated test cases for application modules in TypeScript and Python or C#.
• Work together with the development team on validating functionality, performance, and security of code.
• Collaborate with developers on architecture and design reviews.
• Document test results and maintain traceability.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies and contribute to continuous improvement.

The Essentials

You Will Have:

• Bachelor's degree (or higher) from an IT-focused program.
• Minimum 3–5 years of experience with development in TypeScript and software testing.
• English is required at the level allowing effective communication with the international team.
• Strong understanding of test automation and scripting.
• 3+ years of experience with CI/CD pipelines and version control (Git).

The Preferred

You Might Also Have:

• Familiarity with container platforms (Docker, Kubernetes).
• For the development part it is good to be familiar with frameworks like NestJS and Angular. Knowledge of Docker and gRPC protocol.
• Understanding of industrial automation concepts.
• Knowledge of agile methodologies (Scrum).
• Czech is an advantage at the level allowing effective communication with the international team.
