Job Description:

Engineering Manager – CISO

Pune/Bangalore -India

Engineering Manager – CISO India will lead the development and operational performance of the India-based Cybersecurity team, Security Architecture, Governance Risk and Compliance, Business Continuity Management, and Disaster Recovery. You will focus on aligning India capabilities with the global IT strategy, maturing the organisational culture, and driving greater collaboration across teams. You will be a leader promoting innovation, building collaborative environments, and ensuring operational excellence in a transforming IT landscape. You will be responsible overseeing the deliverables of the local teams and promoting a high-performance culture within the team. We are looking for a leade r with an understanding of the engineering landscape in India and the ability to navigate market dynamics.

  • IT and have a hybrid schedule working in Pune/Bangalore -India

Your Responsibilities:

  • Provide People Leadership & Alignment to India Cybersecurity team. Leader, not an order taker, driving alignment with the global IT and business objectives.
  • Develop relationships and collaborate with global leadership to develop strategies that support the CISO roadmap, innovation, and the long-term growth of the India-based team.
  • Provide support and help maintain alignment of resource planning and execution of GEBS cybersecurity activities.
  • Drive projects that align India operations with the broader company vision and technology roadmap, promoting the growth and scalability of the organisation.
  • Champion efforts to enhance collaboration, communication, and transparency within the India team and across global teams.
  • Foster a culture of learning, innovation. Encourage a collaborative approach to decision-making..
  • Lead initiatives to foster cross-functional teamwork and break down silos between departments, integrating India operations into the organisational culture.
  • Hire and develop cybersecurity operations and functions including GRC (Governance Risk & Compliance), SAE (Security Architecture) and SOC (Security Operations Center). Develop team within India, mentoring leads and promoting talent.
  • Lead efforts to attract top talent in India, ensuring the team has the capabilities to support evolving Cybersecurity space and business needs.
  • Partner with HR to design and implement programmes that enhance employee engagement, professional development, and retention.
  • Establish and guide KPIs to level up the teams' capabilities and execution.
  • Foster a learning culture to keep up with modern trends.
  • Oversee the daily deliverables of the India team, focusing on meeting timelines, operational efficiency, scalability, and agreement on global standards.
  • Implement processes that improve collaboration between the India-based teams and other global regions, ensuring seamless execution of strategic projects.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives, leveraging data and insights to enhance operational performance and contribute to global best practices.
  • Be an important representative of India operations to global leadership, ensuring agreement on priorities and addressing challenges related to resources, performance, and execution.
  • Collaborate with cross-regional leaders to influence strategic decisions, recognising and using the unique contributions of the India team.
  • Contribute to the development of IT strategies by providing insights from the India team and driving the execution of technology projects.
  • Foster an environment that encourages innovation and the use of new technologies, allowing India to be an important player in our digital transformation efforts.
  • Collaborate with leaders across the Global Cybersecurity Organisation to manage critical issues, make important decisions, and mitigate execution risks.
  • Help align team members with projects that match their skills and development goals.
  • Help facilitate yearly goal setting and performance evaluations.

The Essentials

You Will Have:

  • Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Engineering.
  • 5 years of Experience working in overall security strategy, risk management and Cybersecurity domain
  • 10 years of overall experience with at least 5 years of experience managing & scaling teams in India.
  • 5 years of experience working on globally distributed teams
  • Experience leading teams through strategic initiatives that drive organisational growth and cultural.
  • Experience leading skills with the ability to foster collaboration across global teams and functions.
  • Experience in aligning India IT with Enterprise IT and business strategy, within a technology-driven organisation.
  • Engage and collaborate with stakeholders across all organizational levels
  • Experience optimising operational efficiency and improving initiatives

The Preferred

You Might Also Have:

  • Certifications in CISSP/CISM/CRISC/PMP
  • Stay ahead of latest technologies and trends (e.g., AI Ops, edge computing, zero-trust security) and assess their potential impact on our organization.
  • Build and manage relationships with important technology vendors and service providers.
  • Negotiate contracts and SLA's to ensure cost-effective and high-quality service delivery.
