About Rippling

Rippling gives businesses one place to run HR, IT, and Finance. It brings together all of the workforce systems that are normally scattered across a company, like payroll, expenses, benefits, and computers. For the first time ever, you can manage and automate every part of the employee lifecycle in a single system.

Take onboarding, for example. With Rippling, you can hire a new employee anywhere in the world and set up their payroll, corporate card, computer, benefits, and even third-party apps like Slack and Microsoft 365—all within 90 seconds.

Based in San Francisco, CA, Rippling has raised $1.4B+ from the world’s top investors—including Kleiner Perkins, Founders Fund, Sequoia, Greenoaks, and Bedrock—and was named one of America's best startup employers by Forbes.

We prioritize candidate safety. Please be aware that all official communication will only be sent from @Rippling.com addresses.

The Mission: You aren't just checking boxes; you are the architect of the safety net. As the QC Manager, you will build the blueprint for how we measure accuracy across our most critical risk functions. You’ll transform raw data into a narrative that helps leadership understand where we are winning and where we need to tighten the screws.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain a scalable QC methodology for Fraud, KYC, and Credit Underwriting that aligns with regulatory requirements and internal risk appetite.
  • Manage a team of QC Specialists, ensuring consistent grading standards and high-output performance.
  • Translate QC findings into actionable insights for the Fraud, KYC, and Credit heads. You are the "feedback loop" that drives process improvements.
  • Lead regular calibration sessions to ensure the QC team and the Ops Leads are aligned on what "good" looks like.
  • Identify opportunities to automate manual checks and integrate QC workflows into existing Case Management systems.

What You Bring

  • 7+ years in Risk, Compliance, or Fin Tech Ops, with at least 4 years in a leadership/management capacity.
  • Previous experience in managing a Quality Control function in Risk Operations. Solid understanding of KYC, Fraud, and Credit underwriting processes.
  • Ability to build dashboards and present complex data to Leadership and cross-functional stakeholders.
  • A "growth mindset" regarding risk—you view errors as data points for training, not just failures.
