As Technical Producers at Riot, we lead passionate technical teams to create products and experiences that want to achieve maximum developer and player value. As a Senior Manager, Technical Production for Cross VALORANT Experience, you drive the area in delivering high quality solutions to some of VALORANT’s most challenging technical challenges. You will oversee the delivery of features and improvements across multiple teams, spanning technical areas, such as performance, compatibility, and client reliability. As a key member, you will ensure that teams are reliably delivering content on time and in a sustainable manner, closely partnering with team and area leadership to ensure success. You will report to the Director of Production.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and support multiple engineering teams across Los Angeles and Seattle

  • Own the teams ability to reliably deliver in a sustainable, yet reliable manner (rituals, tracking, reporting, and partner management)

  • Directly manage the team level technical producers in the area, coaching them on craft and career

  • Assess the organization’s maturity, health, and composition and improve any identified areas for improvement

  • Collaborate with leadership peers, across the teams and Area to ensure that the work is being completed on time and quality especially across multiple customers of VALORANT

  • Represent team direction and capabilities to area leadership

  • Partner with leaders across VALORANT to ensure the game’s strategic priorities are met

  • Partner with leaders across Riot’s platform teams to deliver against VALORANT and Riot’s strategic priorities

  • Help support VALORANT’s priorities with our China publishing partner Tencent

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent experience with strong technical knowledge and problem-solving skills

  • Minimum of 6 years of experience as a Producer, Product Manager, or Development Manager on medium to large teams

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience managing leaders of teams

  • Experience applying Agile or Lean development methodologies at scale

Desired Qualifications:

  • Experience working with SRE, DevOps, or software operations engineering teams

  • Experience working with teams building software tools or engines for game developers

  • Experience working with teams building software for game performance and reliability

  • Experience in game development or a good understanding of how artists, engineers, and game designers build assets and game features for a modern game
