The Global Tax team at Riot is dedicated to helping Riot best serve its global Players by unlocking our Global Rioters and maintaining good corporate citizenship in all things tax. Our team contains experts from a variety of tax backgrounds with a shared dedication to providing Riot leaders with perspective on what makes a good tax decision. Tax can be strategic at Riot, but avoids bureaucratic barriers. The team strives to assist innovation by clearing the path, with integrity, so new experiences can reach our Players. The global tax team sits in 3 different countries and each team member brings unique skills to Riot.
Riot Games is looking for a dynamic Tax Professional to join its global Tax team.
As EMEA Tax Analyst, reporting to the Tax Director, EMEA you will be instrumental in strategic tax compliance endeavours, , tax advisory, tax controversy and WHTmatters as well as driving automation within the tax team. You will be hands-on, understand tax operations, and have the ability to collaborate cross-functionally.
This will be a 13 month fixed term contract based in Dublin and will be based in the office at least 2 days a week
Responsibilities:

You will prepare/co-ordinate corporate tax returns for EMEA+ region and ensure associated payments made on time.

You will prepare/co-ordinate VAT/GST returns for EMEA+ region and ensure associated payments made on time.

You will prepare/co-ordinate WHT returns for certain EMEA regions and ensure associated payments made on time.

You will prepare monthly/quarterly US GAAP provisioning including calculation of current/deferred tax, foreign tax credits etc.

You will support the Global Tax team, third-party advisors, and local finance teams to maintain and prepare support for local transfer pricing documentation for the EMEA region.

You will support the EMEA Tax Team to provide technical support for all entities in the EMEA region on proposed commercial transactions and restructurings.

You will monitor and analyze changes in local country tax laws, regulations, and judicial precedence to recommend appropriate responses and create value for players and Riot alike.

You will support the Global and EMEA Tax team and the broader business with consultancy projects and ad-hoc advisory matters (such as e-invoicing, esports events etc).
Requirements:
-
AITI qualified in large practice, with an ACA qualification a strong advantage

5+ years of experience in tax/accounting or relevant industry experience

Detail-oriented and strong work ethic
-
Ability to organize work effectively and meet deadlines
-
Experience with financial/tax modelling and automation
-
Strong communication skills (written and verbal) and analytical skills
-
Proficiency in Excel/word/powerpoint or Google suite
