Your primary focus will be to identify strategic opportunities that drive distribution, engagement, and business impact for Riot’s titles on these platforms.
This role is grounded in business development, account strategy, and partner execution, but also requires strong cross-functional coordination to align internal product, publishing, and operational teams around joint goals. You will play a critical role in shaping how Riot shows up across console and mobile platforms globally, ensuring our priorities are understood, our products are supported, and our potential is fully realized.
Reporting to the Global Head of Platform Partnerships, this role demands a strategic mindset, strong external partner management, and comfort working across technical, operational, and commercial workstreams.
Responsibilities:
Strategic Account Ownership
-
Act as the primary BD and account lead for assigned 1P platform partners
-
Develop, maintain, and grow strategic relationships with key partner contacts across business, product, marketing and platform operations
-
Negotiate and secure support for distribution, merchandising, pilot programs, and new initiatives aligned to Riot’s growth goals
-
Partner with legal, finance, and product stakeholders to negotiate agreements, evaluate partner programs, and structure new deal opportunities
Business Development & Growth Strategy
-
Identify and pursue opportunities to expand Riot’s presence and impact across mobile and console storefronts
-
Analyze platform trends, evolving policy landscapes, and market shifts to proactively recommend new areas of investment
-
Build and refine business cases for feature adoption, technology integration, or co-development that aligns with partner roadmaps
-
Serve as a thought partner to game and publishing leads on go-to-market planning, regional rollout strategy, and ongoing growth initiatives for platform-supported products
Cross-Functional Collaboration
-
Partner with Riot’s game teams, central publishing, live ops, compliance, and regional publishing teams to ensure platform needs and timelines are incorporated into broader launch and content planning
-
Act as the internal voice of the platform partners, helping translate their priorities, constraints, and capabilities into actionable internal guidance
-
Coordinate internally across stakeholders to ensure alignment on execution, risk management, and business value
Operational & Executional Support
-
Drive execution of partnership initiatives from concept through completion, ensuring deal terms are upheld, timelines are met, and deliverables are tracked
-
Support partner milestone planning, post-launch follow-ups, and escalations as needed
-
Maintain partner-facing materials and documentation, including business reviews, account summaries, and success trackers
Performance Analysis & Reporting
-
Track and analyze the performance of partnerships and programs to assess ROI and inform future planning
-
Collaborate with insights and finance to develop internal reports on partner impact and contribution to broader publishing goals
Required Qualifications:
-
5+ years of experience in business development, partnerships, or account management, ideally within the console or mobile games ecosystem
-
Deep familiarity with platform business models, policies, and commercial programs across console and mobile (e.g., submission processes, revenue models, content featuring, co-marketing frameworks)
-
Demonstrated success driving external partnerships from pitch through execution
-
Strong negotiation and communication skills, with the ability to represent Riot’s needs while building durable, trusted relationships
-
Experience working across internal product, marketing, legal, and operational teams to drive strategic outcomes
-
High attention to detail, with the ability to manage complex workstreams, partner asks, and internal dependencies simultaneously
Desired Qualifications:
-
Experience working directly with Play Station, Xbox, Nintendo, Apple App Store, or Google Play
-
Familiarity with regional differences in mobile/console partner programs
-
Analytical fluency and comfort with performance data, business case modeling, and partner ROI
