Role Overview

We are seeking a Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) to join our AQA team and contribute to ensuring the quality and reliability of our web applications. The role focuses on designing, developing, and maintaining automated test solutions for web UI and APIs, with a strong emphasis on test automation using Java and Selenium.

The successful candidate will work closely with developers and QA engineers, participate in test design and requirement analysis, and take ownership of test automation quality within the team. This position requires a solid understanding of software testing principles, hands-on experience with automation frameworks, and the ability to analyze test results and identify issues in a fast-paced development environment.

The ideal candidate is proactive, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in a collaborative, cross-functional team. They demonstrate clear technical communication skills, can work independently on automation tasks, and continuously seek to improve test coverage, test code quality, and existing QA processes.

This role requires on-site presence at our office 4 days a week to support effective collaboration and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Work with Java, Groovy, Selenium Web Driver, TestNG, Git (GitLab, GitHub), Jira, CI/CD (Jenkins), Rest Assured, Retrofit, Python

• Develop and maintain automation tools, AI agents, MCP servers

• Design, develop and maintain the automation tests (functional, integration, E2E, API)

• Analyze automated test execution, report failures, and support bugs

• Develop and maintain test framework

• Manage test infrastructure

• Support and enhancing of continuous integration process

• Creation and maintain the test documentation

• Collaborate with other teams (manual QA, developers etc)

• Maintain test code and keep it clean and readable

• Ability to analyze requirements and identify test scenarios

Required skills (Must-have)

• Knowledge of Java, Groovy, Selenium Web Driver, TestNG, Git, Jira, CI/CD (Jenkins), Rest Assured, Retrofit, Python

• Understanding of automated testing concepts

• Knowledge of web technologies (HTML, CSS, basic HTTP)

• Understanding of REST APIs and basic API testing

• Ability to read and understand technical documentation

• Basic knowledge of Linux (command line, basic navigation)

Nice-to-have

• Experience with Java

Script and Playwright:

• Basic knowledge of Docker (run containers, understand images)

• Experience with test frameworks (TestNG)

• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines
