Job Description:

At Remitly, we believe everyone deserves the freedom to access, move, and manage their money wherever life takes them. Since 2011, we've tirelessly delivered on our promise to customers sending money globally, providing secure, simple, and reliable ways to manage their money, ensuring true peace of mind. Whether it's supporting loved ones back home, growing a business across continents, or pursuing new opportunities abroad, we're not just here to move money— we're here to move our global customers forward.

We're looking for builders, reimaginers, and global thinkers who want to work at the intersection of technology, trust, and transformation. If that's you and you're ready to do the most meaningful work of your career—we invite you to join over 2,800 passionate Remitlians worldwide who are united by our vision to transform lives with trusted financial services that transcend borders. As a core member of our newly established Bangalore engineering hub, you will join a high-growth team of nine engineers dedicated to building Remitly’s next generation of business-payment products. This is a frontend-heavy fullstack role where you will be responsible for the end-to-end delivery of critical product surfaces, including recipient checkout and payment link experiences. Operating in a 0-1 environment, you will work within a fast-moving squad to turn MVP concepts into scalable, global solutions using React Native, GraphQL, and Golang. We are looking for product-minded engineers who thrive on execution, enjoy navigating the ambiguity of pre-PMF products, and want to be part of the foundational fabric of our India site.

You Will:

  • Ship End-to-End Features: Own the development cycle of key product features, from building intuitive UIs in React Native to implementing the supporting logic in our Golang/AWS backend.

  • Drive Execution in a 0-1 Space: Take broad product requirements and break them down into technical milestones, delivering high-quality code at a consistent pace.

  • Collaborate Across Functions: Work closely with Product, Design, and other engineers to refine the Get Paid roadmap and solve complex money-movement challenges.

  • Maintain High Standards: Ensure the reliability of our services by writing robust tests, participating in peer code reviews, and contributing to the team’s operational excellence.

  • Scale the Platform: Implement localized payment experiences and fraud-prevention logic as we expand our business products to new global markets.

  • Shape Team Culture: As part of a foundational 9-person team, you will help establish the communication patterns and ways of working that will define the Bangalore hub.

You Have:

  • A Proven Product Engineer: You have 3 years of software engineering experience at a high-growth, product-driven company.

  • Frontend-Heavy Fullstack: You are highly proficient in React or React Native and GraphQL, with the ability to confidently navigate and write backend services in Golang.

  • Comfortable with Ambiguity: You enjoy the challenge of building from scratch and are adept at making technical decisions when the right way isn't yet defined.

  • Cloud & API Savvy: You have experience with AWS (or similar cloud providers) and understand how to design and consume performant APIs.

  • A Strong Communicator: You can explain technical trade-offs clearly and enjoy collaborating with a diverse team across different time zones.

  • Execution-Focused: You have a bias for action and a track record of delivering user-facing features that are both secure and scalable.

Our Benefits:

  • Medical, Dental & Vision Insurance

  • Life Insurance

  • Mental Health & Family Forming benefits

  • Learning & development benefits
