We're looking for Team Lead for Redis Server (Core Platforms)

Leading a Redis Server team means taking on the challenge of creating and improving one of the world’s fastest and most highly-regarded NoSQL databases.
The team works on both Redis Community Edition and Redis Enterprise, with huge impact on other teams, stakeholders, and the open-source community.
This is for tech lovers who thrive on performance, elegant solutions, and collaboration.

What You’ll Do:

Lead and manage a small team, hands-on coding in C while developing the next generation Redis database.
Define technical roadmaps, make key architectural decisions, and drive performance/reliability at massive scale.
Mentor team members, foster technical excellence, and take full ownership from concept to production.
Collaborate with Product, DevOps, Support, Customer Success, other R&D teams, and the open-source community.

What Do you have:

4+ years developing production-grade systems, with strong hands-on C/Linux experience.
2+ years leading engineering teams/projects to completion, including mentoring.
Expertise in low-level programming (C/C++/Rust), memory safety, concurrency, and performance optimizations.
Strategic thinking for roadmaps/architecture in Agile environments.
Excellent communication for distributed teams.

Nice to have:

  • NoSQL databases.
  • OSS contributions or async IO networking.
  • Distributed applications experience.
