Job Summary
The Open Shift Virtualization Specialist Solution Architect plays a pivotal role in driving the adoption and successful deployment of Red Hat Open Shift Virtualization in key enterprise accounts, including government agencies, financial services, and service providers. By building relationships of trust and confidence with customer architecture, development, and operations teams, you will enable organizations to leverage Open Shift as a modern infrastructure platform that enhances operational efficiency, developer productivity, and business continuity.
In this role, you will provide deep technical sales support to execute Go-To-Market (GTM) strategies, articulating the value of Open Shift as an infrastructure platform on bare metal. You will demonstrate how organizations can use Open Shift to modernize their IT environments, migrate from legacy virtualization platforms utilizing containers, virtualization and advanced networking. Your expertise will help application teams transition from planning to production on-premises while addressing their unique technical and business needs.
What you will do

Technical expertise: Deliver successful Open Shift Virtualization deep dive technical presentations, workshops, tailored demos and proof of concepts (POCs) for teams of both technical and non-technical backgrounds to showcase the capabilities and benefits of Red Hat Open Shift Virtualization, shape the customer's use cases and architect design decisions to help future customers design the infrastructure corresponding to their business needs.

Customer engagement: Work with the customer Account Executive, Sales Specialist, and Solution Architect to identify challenges and blockers to adoption of Open Shift Virtualization, as well as consumption within new and existing customer accounts.

Collaboration: Work closely with internal product teams, Product Engineering, Professional Services, Global Support, and Sales to ensure a world-class customer experience with Red Hat solutions.

Coaching and mentoring: Serving as a trusted advisor and subject matter expert on Open Shift Virtualization to the Account Teams by assisting in customer engagements, understanding their business needs, providing technical solutions and recommendations and building long-lasting relationships within our key accounts.

Advocacy: Demonstrate thought leadership in cloud-based Virtualization platforms by producing world-class whitepapers, webinars, etc., and speaking at industry-leading conferences.
What you will bring
-
Extensive knowledge and experience with virtualization technologies for application deployment and operations such as qemu/KVM, VMware v Sphere, libvirt etc.

Knowledge of cloud Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS) technologies like Red Hat Open Shift or related experience with Kubernetes deployments

Deep datacenter experience with integration, storage, and compute expertise.

Knowledge in Software Define Networking (SDN) technologies such as OVN, NSX-t, Cisco ACI or others.

Deep knowledge about on premise infrastructure design and implementation (Baremetal management, storage systems technologies like FC, iSCSI, NFS, et al, storage vendor systems, switches and network related technologies, et al).

Experience in sales engineering, consulting, IT architecture, or equivalent in supporting large organizations.

Excellent communication, presentation, documentation and problem-solving skills.

Ability to understand customers' challenges, requirements and technical issues and collaborate to address those with the appropriate technologies and solutions.
