The Red Hat Consulting team is looking for a Senior Consultant to join us in Germany. In this role, you will perform on-site delivery and implementation of Red Hat Open Shift and related solutions and offerings. You'll gain understanding of our customers’ infrastructures and business needs and make recommendations appropriate to their environment to create possibilities and resolve issues. As a Senior Consultant, you will work closely with customers on various specific initiatives, including architecture, deployment and troubleshooting. You will also support other consultants, associates, and partners in developing best practices and methods, mainly based on Open Shift and related technologies.

What you will do:

  • Serve as a trusted adviser to Red Hat engineers and project and technical managers to deliver and implement the right solutions for our customers

  • Serve as a subject matter expert on site, addressing customers’ technical, development, and IT issues and needs

  • Learn new technologies and apply those concepts to customer needs

  • Adapt to changing customer requirements

  • Manage technical problem identification and resolution, support system architecture definition, software specification and design, testing, and deployment of open source solutions

  • Keep stakeholders updated on issues that may affect project or company performance

What you will bring:

  • Knowledge of infrastructure (Red Hat Open Shift) and automation solutions (Red Hat Ansible Automation Platform)

  • Application Development experience (esp. Java and Springboot) is also a plus

  • Ability and willingness to learn new technologies on your own and apply new concepts to problems

  • Good customer-facing skills; ability to present to customers and guide customer interactions

  • Understanding of the open source community

  • Excellent problem-solving, project management, and planning skills

  • Red Hat Certified Engineer (RHCE) certification is a plus

  • Willing to travel to customers within Germany and occasionally EMEA wide

  • Fluency in English and German language
