PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES

• Manpower management.

• Manpower planning, ensuring sufficient manpower, to bring up to Ops Manager when there is a deviation.

• Manage Staff training (product and regulatory/compliance/corporate) to meet operational needs / requirement

• Perform Staff appraisal and development needs

• Perform job scheduling and prioritization

• Job distribution among the Team, OT/Shift Planning

• Test station (capability)Manage capability (calibration, availability, utilization, etc)

• Respond to all related Technical queries and seek Tech Support / Engineering help where appropriate

• Be trained and achieve CORE Champion Certification (Continuous improvement)

• Take up assigned secondary duties for support of Operations needs

• Perform root cause and corrective actions for metrics not meeting goal.

• Create and promote a Safety and Quality Culture / environment in the Section

• Attend to all issues pertaining to the Section operations.

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS

• Minimum NITEC in Electronics a must
• Minimum 10 years experience in Avionics equipment repair
• Able to read digital and analog electronics circuitry.
• Ability to interpret schematic diagrams, troubleshoot and repair PCB assembly down to component level.
• Competent to conduct tests according to the Component Maintenance Manual.
• Able to interpret, evaluate test results and write test report.
• Understands safety requirements and performs duties in accordance with all safety procedures.
• Conducts activities in accordance with Rockwell Collins Credo, Ethics and Standards of Business Conduct, and other established Rockwell Collins policies.
• Properly prioritizes jobs in his/her purview and manages time to meet production needs.
