What You Will Do:
Pratt & Whitney is seeking a Senior Manufacturing Engineer, Atomization, to work onsite at our Clayville, New York campus to drive process control and improve the company’s quality and delivery signature.

Break down complicated systems into individual pieces to improve productivity

Visualize improvement opportunities and convert into processes that meet aerospace quality standards

With assistance from the Engineering Manager, determine justification, develop project schedules and identify opportunities and risks associated with ideas; develop risk mitigation strategies to manage risk

Prepare technical specifications and other documents that can be used to procure technical services and products or work instructions
-
Responsible for projects and/or multiple tasks within functional discipline making for significant contribution to their team by applying their knowledge
Qualifications You Must Have:
-
Bachelor's Degree in engineering and 2 or more years' experience in an engineering, manufacturing operations, materials management, project management, or closely related industrial environment OR a Masters' Degree and minimum 1 or more year of experience in an engineering, manufacturing operations, materials management, project management, or closely related industrial environment

Experience with Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.)
-
Familiar with mechanical design, pneumatics/hydraulic, thermodynamics, fluid dynamics and heat transfer.
-
Demonstrated understanding of the fundamentals of the discipline and role including statistical process control and data analytics.

Knowledge of manufacturing and assembly processes
Qualifications We Prefer:

Degree in manufacturing engineering

Understanding of continuous improvement tools such as Six Sigma and LEAN
What is my role type?

Onsite: Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance workers, as they are essential to the development of our engines.
As part of our commitment to maintaining a secure hiring process, candidates may be asked to attend select steps of the interview process in-person at one of our office locations, regardless of whether the role is designated as on-site, hybrid or remote.
The salary range for this role is 68,900 USD - 131,100 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
Hired applicants may be eligible for benefits, including but not limited to, medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, long-term disability, 401(k) match, flexible spending accounts, flexible work schedules, employee assistance program, Employee Scholar Program, parental leave, paid time off, and holidays. Specific benefits are dependent upon the specific business unit as well as whether or not the position is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement.
Hired applicants may be eligible for annual short-term and/or long-term incentive compensation programs depending on the level of the position and whether or not it is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement. Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company’s performance.
This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
