Role Summary Reporting to the Director of Communications for Asia-Pacific, this role leads the design and execution of RTX’s communications strategy in India. It shapes external reputation, strengthens internal engagement, and supports business growth across the RTX portfolio.

Key Responsibilities:

  • External Communications & Strategy• Develop integrated communications strategies that advance RTX’s business and brand priorities in India.

  • Partner with regional and global teams to ensure alignment across narratives, messaging, and campaigns.

  • Lead PR planning and execution for major market initiatives.

  • Media Relations & Reputation Management• Build and maintain strong relationships with national, regional, and trade media.

  • Monitor news cycles and industry developments to provide timely insights and strategic updates for leadership.

  • Drive proactive media outreach, including press releases, editorial pitching, interviews, and media events.

  • Manage real-time issues and crisis communications with India leadership and global counterparts.

Content & Editorial Development• Develop clear, compelling messaging, briefing documents, talking points, articles, op-eds, and leadership communications.

  • Brand Building & Events• Strengthen RTX’s brand presence in India through trade shows, conferences, strategic events, and market campaigns.
  • Partner with global branding teams on advertising and broader visibility initiatives.

Executive Communications• Support global and in-country leaders with speeches, talking points, speaking opportunities, and strategy presentations.

Social Media• Partner with the global social team to develop India-focused content that showcases business impact, culture, and people.

  • Internal Communications• Lead internal communications for RTX and Pratt & Whitney employees in India.
  • Deliver engaging internal campaigns across digital and onsite channels to reinforce culture and employer brand.

Employer Branding• Work with HR to strategize and execute employer brand initiatives that support RTX’s talent and growth objectives in India.

Agency & Vendor Management• Manage the PR agency-of-record and collaborate with event, design, and communications partners as needed.

Qualifications:

Education• Degree in Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, or a related field.

  • Experience• 12-15 years of experience in corporate communications, journalism, or related functions.

  • Strong background in media relations, branding, content creation, events, and integrated communications.

  • Editorial experience preferred.

  • Aerospace or other complex industry experience is an advantage.

  • Well-established network with India’s media landscape.

  • Excellent writing, verbal, and presentation skills.

  • Personal Attributes• Able to work effectively within a culturally diverse global organization.

  • Proactive, adaptable, and comfortable navigating fast-paced environments.

  • Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills.

  • Willing and able to travel as required.
