What You Will Do
- Ensure flow down of product requirements both internally and to sub-tier suppliers through PO requirements, Quality Notes, and statement of works Interpreting to ensure supply base both understands and complies with these quality (Q-Notes) applications production Parts. .
- Perform on-site Source Surveillance and Corrective Action reviews, Participate in design reviews, program reviews, process change reviews, supplier reviews, qualification test reviews, as well as Test Equipment verification and validation to mitigate escape risk.
- Drive continuous product / process improvements of our supply base by identifying supplier risk & systemic performance issues and driving solutions through various tools/methodologies including: Root Cause Corrective Actions, Statistical/analytical improvement tools such as Six Sigma and Lean Methodologies.
- Facilitate closed loop process controls and continuous improvement methods to improve product/process quality, Perform Supplier factory process walks and factory risk assessments
- Application of APQP processes related to supplier performance and implementation of necessary engagements to improve supplier manufacturing processes.
- Represent quality during review boards covering changes to: supplier designs, process changes, qualification tests, and procedure reviews.
- Review Internal TDP change requests, Supplier change requests, and Supplier Statements of Work and contribute in the development of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and metrics to measure supplier quality performance
- Ability to travel as required by program needs. Can anticipate domestic travel (Up to 25%) to support supplier assessments, audits, reviews.
What You Will Learn:
- Managing complex supplier base in variety of fields (Electrical, Mechanical, energetic, etc)
- Expand APQP knowledge and experience
- Engagement with critical external stakeholders i.e. DCMA.
Qualifications You Must Have
- Typically requires a Bachelor’s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Math (STEM) and 8 years’ experience in quality engineering, manufacturing, or related engineering discipline.
- Experience working with one or more of the following aerospace or commercial equivalent preventative tools
- SPC, FMEA, QFD, PPAP
- Previous experience conducting root cause analysis and implementing corrective actions.
- Experience with one or more of the following standards: ISO 9001, AS9100, AS9145, or MDA Assurance Provisions.
- Previous experience interpreting schematic drawings and hardware inspection techniques.
- Active and transferable U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance
Qualifications We Prefer
- Six Sigma, Lean, and/or American Society for Quality (ASQ) Certification (CQE, CQM/OE, CSQE, CQA, CRE, etc.)
- Proven successes in building and maintaining relationships with multiple suppliers/ customers.
- Experience in DoD product and process oversight including requirements, build, integration, test, and delivery.
- Experience in engineering, development, project planning, and collaborating remotely.
- Working knowledge of ISO 9001/AS9100 quality management systems, AS9145 Requirements for APQP & PPAP, and FAI Standard AS9102.
- General knowledge of industry technical standards (such as ANSI, CMMI, ASTM, etc.)
- Strong technical engineer with excellent communication skills that exhibits presence and influence and self-managed technical contributor.

Clearance Information:
This position requires a security clearance. DCSA Consolidated Adjudication Services (DCSA CAS), an agency of the Department of Defense, handles and adjudicates the security clearance process. The salary range for this role is 107,500 USD - 204,500 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
Hired applicants may be eligible for benefits, including but not limited to, medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, long-term disability, 401(k) match, flexible spending accounts, flexible work schedules, employee assistance program, Employee Scholar Program, parental leave, paid time off, and holidays. Specific benefits are dependent upon the specific business unit as well as whether or not the position is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement.
Hired applicants may be eligible for annual short-term and/or long-term incentive compensation programs depending on the level of the position and whether or not it is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement. Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company’s performance.
This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
