Job Overview

We seek a passionate engineer with in-depth knowledge on algorithm design for new image sensor technologies to join the Camera Systems team.

The Camera Systems team creates embedded imaging solutions for Snapdragon chipsets that power advanced mobile devices. Our solutions leverage dedicated hardware, multi-core processors, DSP, and GPU cores to provide state-of-the-art photographs, video recordings, as well as scene data for image understanding and object detection. Responsibilities include the following:

• Research and development for next generation camera features and image quality improvement
• Prototype solutions on mobile platforms for proof of concept and demonstration purposes
• Deployment of solutions that improve the mobile imaging experience.
• Design of camera systems that balance power, memory, silicon area to maximize imaging performance

Basic Qualifications

• 5+ years working experiences in the following areas:
• Signal/image processing and IQ tuning experience
• Camera and image processing technologies.
• Expert at camera 3A algorithm design and implementation
• Knowledge of Image Stabilization such as image registration, image geometry correction, Electronic Image Stabilization (EIS), Optical Image Stabilization (OIS)
• CMOS sensors and algorithms for sensor and optics processing
• Device driver, sensor networking and architecture
• Knowledge of modern machine learning techniques
• Customer support/ camera tuning experience
• C, C++, Matlab, Python

Preferred Qualifications

• Camera essential feature design such as auto focus and video image stabilization technologies
• Candidates should have excellent analytical and problem-solving skills along with strong coding background
• Track record of driving ideas from design through commercialization
• Excellent knowledge of C++, capability to design and implement robust, high-performance and flexible system software

Education Requirements:

• Master or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or Computer Science

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 4+ years of Systems Engineering or related work experience. OR
  Master's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 3+ years of Systems Engineering or related work experience.
  OR
  PhD in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 2+ years of Systems Engineering or related work experience.
