The Team

Financial & Tax Reporting Team focuses on both Financial as well as Tax reporting and accounting and has in total 15 associates. Almost all positions concern specialist areas where a solid knowledge of Financial Accounting and/or Tax accounting is key. This is visible in the high level of education each associate has, with almost all associates having completed their Masters. Focus areas include Month-end/Quarterly/Year-end close activities, external Audits on both US GAAP as well as Statutory Audits, P&L / Balance Sheet / Cash Flow reporting (US GAAP and Local GAAP), compulsory, statistical reporting to government agencies, tax declarations, guidance and implementation of US GAAP policies with a continued focus on driving optimization and automation.

The Position

• The Manager
• Statutory Compliance and Tax Reporting is responsible for US GAAP Tax reporting and related process improvement /optimization. This position will report to the Director of Statutory Compliance and Tax Reporting.

Key Responsibilities

• Responsible for the reporting and project managing the submission of various financial and other company specific data to the Dutch statistical agency, CBS
• Managing
• Statutory Compliance and Tax Reporting in preparation of the Dutch Local GAAP financial statements and the audits of these statements
• Managing – Statutory Compliance and Tax Reporting in preparation of the Dutch Fiscal Unity tax return
• Assist in preparation of the European component of the annual US Tax return and data required for Country by Country Reporting (CbCR)
• Assist and liaising with the Tax department for the reporting of intercompany transactions required for local Transfer Pricing reports
• Support EMEA Financial statement and Income Tax compliance process
• Support EMEA accounting teams at local level regarding TP and income tax accounting
• Improve and automate CBS, Tax and Statutory reporting processes where feasible, including liaising with IT department and US team on system improvement

The Ideal Candidate

• Minimum of 5-8 years of relevant financial accounting and reporting experience
• Experience within retail, fashion industry or audit firm preferred
• Masters in Finance / Business Administration / Accounting
• RA, CPA, ACCA or CA accreditation preferred
• Knowledge of US GAAP, IFRS, and/or tax reporting and accounting
• Knowledge of Dutch statistical reporting to CBS
• Experience with SOX/audit
• Skilled in BI, knowledge of ERP systems (SAP, BW, BPC, HANA, Tableau)
• Improving processes and developing automation where possible
• Ability to solve complex problems and dealing with a wide range of challenges / opportunities
• Proactive, organized self-starter showing ownership and drives results
• Strong team player who is flexible & deadline oriented with strong business acumen whilst fitting in our casual company and team culture
