Role Overview

The HR Systems Functional Analyst partners closely with Recruiting, HR, and cross-functional stakeholders to optimize and support Workday Recruiting processes, reporting, and integrations. This role requires a highly analytical, technically skilled, and service-oriented professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is comfortable managing change, ambiguity, and continuous improvement.

Primary Responsibilities & Accountabilities

  1. Stakeholder Partnership
  • Build strong relationships with key stakeholders to understand business needs, challenges, and priorities
  • Serve as a trusted advisor for system enhancements and process improvements
  1. Business Process & Data Analysis
  • Analyze data flows and current-state workflows to identify manual processes and recommend system-driven improvements
  • Utilize tools to develop standardized business process documentation templates
  1. Workday Recruiting Configuration & Support
  • Configure and maintain Workday Recruiting based on business requirements
  • Perform mass uploads for positions, job requisitions, candidates, and other transactions using EIBs
  • Enhance and develop Workday reports aligned to Recruiting business needs
  1. Documentation & Governance
  • Maintain and update Quick Reference Guides (QRGs) and system documentation based on enhancements and changes
  • Document enhancement requests through the formal intake process
  • Partner with Recruiters to prioritize requests, define requirements, and establish implementation timelines
  1. Release Management & Testing
  • Coordinate and execute functional testing for all Workday releases
  • Partner with business stakeholders to facilitate release readiness and validation
  1. Cross-Functional Collaboration
  • Collaborate with HR Service areas (HR Core, Compensation, etc.) to ensure seamless downstream impacts and system alignment
  1. Production Support & Escalations
  • Log and manage intake requests in People Service Portal (Service Now)
  • Serve as Tier 2 escalation support for Recruiting-related issues
  • Own issues through resolution, troubleshoot system and process defects, and provide alternative solutions as needed
  • Clearly communicate resolutions and educate business users
  1. Training & User Adoption
  • Partner with the User Adoption Lead to develop training materials
  • Participate in training delivery for new functionality

Qualifications & Experience

Experience:

  • Workday Recruiting Configuration & Support
  • Strong understanding of HR systems, processes, and Workday functionality
  • Advanced MS Excel proficiency required

Education:

  • Workday Recruiting Configuration & Support

Skills:

  • Self-starter with the ability to work independently and learn quickly
  • Strong customer focus, ownership mindset, and ability to implement change
