Position Overview
Job Title: Director, Global Merchandising Planning OFF PRICE
Reports To: SVP, Global Merchandising
Strategic and commercially minded Global Merchandising Planning Director to lead end-to-end seasonal planning across regions, channels, and categories. This role is central to shaping global product strategy, driving financial targets, and aligning cross-functional teams around a unified consumer and brand vision. Partner closely with Global Merchandising, Regional Planning, Design, and Finance to translate assortment strategies into actionable plans that maximize growth, margin, and inventory productivity—while honoring regional nuance and consumer behavior.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Planning & Alignment
- Lead global seasonal planning process from pre-season through hindsight, ensuring alignment across regions and channels
- Translate merchandising strategies into financial targets, category frameworks, and investment guardrails
- Influence line architecture, SKU productivity, and product lifecycle strategies
Financial Ownership & Forecasting
- Manage and drive global product margin targets across all milestones of product development
- Build global projection frameworks to support capacity planning, cost negotiation, and margin improvement initiatives
- Own global sales and inventory projections, ensuring consistency and accuracy across key planning checkpoints
- Lead scenario planning and risk mitigation strategies to support dynamic business needs
- Collaborate with Finance to align top-down and bottom-up targets
In-Season Business Analysis & Opportunity Identification
- Analyze in-season business performance across categories, regions, and channels to identify growth drivers and risks
- Identify product opportunities and assortment gaps for future seasons
- Deliver hindsight reporting and actionable insights to influence future line planning and investment strategies
Regional Partnership & Buy Review
- Conduct buy review of regional assortments to ensure alignment with global product strategies and investment priorities
- Serve as key liaison between global and regional planning teams, ensuring feedback loops and localization needs are captured
Cross-Functional Leadership
- Partner with Merchandising, Design, Supply to ensure timely execution of seasonal strategies
- Drive planning milestones in GTM calendar, ensuring clarity and accountability across functions
- Lead continuous improvement in tools, processes, and reporting
Qualifications
- 10+ years of experience in merchandising, ideally in global or multi-region capacity
- Proven track record in leading cross-functional teams and influencing senior stakeholders
- Strong analytical skills with fluency in financial modeling, forecasting, and inventory management
- Deep understanding of consumer behavior, retail dynamics, and product lifecycle
- Experience in fashion, lifestyle, or consumer goods preferred
- Excellent communication, leadership, and storytelling skills
- A global mindset with sensitivity to regional nuance
- A balance of commercial acumen and brand empathy
- The ability to turn data into narrative, and strategy into action
- A passion for product, consumer, and team collaboration
Compensation & Benefits
Pay
Pay Range: $143,200 – $193,300
PVH currently provides base salary ranges for all positions on job advertisements in the United States based on local requirements. These ranges are based on what PVH reasonably believes that it will pay an associate for their base salary for said position at the time of the posting. Individual compensation will ultimately be determined based on a variety of relevant factors including but not limited to qualifications, geographic location and other relevant skills.
