The Global Technology & Operations Value Management Office (GT&O VMO) is seeking a detail-oriented professional to provide Strategy & Portfolio Management support, with a focus on analyzing, developing, and reporting on portfolio management, operational and performance metrics. This role partners closely with data owners and reporting teams to understand how data needs to be structured for consumption. Responsibilities include defining data quality validation criteria, implementing automatic error detection schemes, and applying data governance and standards including data definitions, data quality rules, and data lineage. This position also supports domain owners and data stewards to analyze quality issue root causes and remediation efforts.
What you'll do:
Serve as a data analyst for managing the GT&O portfolio activities and governance:

  • Ensure that Data Governance related activities are prioritized appropriately, and all deadlines are met; ensure data quality metrics are accurately recorded, actively monitored, and data issues are remediated on an ongoing basis
  • Develop method(s) to capture and report on value/outcomes being delivered via GT&O initiatives
  • Find methods to retrieve data related to various performance metrics and coordinate with stakeholder to define targets / best practices
  • Perform analysis on portfolio related metrics and work with initiative SMEs to ensure data accuracy along with testing the resulting reports to ensure alignment
  • Translate complex analytical findings into clear, actionable insights for internal and client stakeholders
  • Coordinate with GT&O data owners on their processes to generate reports needed to provide transparency to effectively monitor and manage execution on KPIs
  • Manage data dictionary capturing metric definitions, data sources, calculations, data limitations, and targets for GT&O metrics
  • Manage metrics catalog for metrics being reported across GT&O

What you'll need:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience (minimum 3 years relevant work experience in data analytics/reporting)
  • Understanding of complex data structures and the implication of processes on other groups and downstream systems.
  • Strong analytical and Microsoft suite skills (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Teams, etc.)
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to tailor communication style to effectively meet the needs of audience at all levels of the organization
  • Familiarity with data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI) is strongly preferred
  • Technical skills including SQL, DAX, Python, preferred
  • Experience in modern data lake architecture, database development, data modeling, preferred
  • Proficiency in RDMS: Oracle, SQL Server, Postgres or MySQL, preferred

This position is hybrid with the expectation of in-office collaboration at least three days a week. Additional in-office time may be required based on project assignments and team collaboration needs. While this position is based in Newark, travel may be required at times.

Prudential is required by state specific laws to include the salary range for this role when hiring a resident in applicable locations. The salary range for this role is from $89,000.00 to $147,000.00. Specific pricing for the role may vary within the above range based on many factors including geographic location, candidate experience, and skills.-
