POSITION SUMMARY
The Quality Control Administrator supports the permitting organization by helping improve quality, data integrity, and team capability through hands-on coaching, RCA follow-through, and process strengthening. This role partners closely with the Data Assurance Manager, Permit Managers, Drafting Leads (PAMs), QC Leads, and Research teams to ensure issues identified through RCAs, audits, or data reviews are understood, corrected, and prevented from recurring. This position plays a key part in building team knowledge, assisting with targeted training, supporting data cleanup efforts, and identifying small but meaningful process improvements that enhance quality across the permitting workflow.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
RCA Support & Follow-Through
-
Review RCAs submitted by permit QA, QC, Coordinators, and drafters to understand the training or process gaps behind the issue.

Identify when additional training or clarification is needed and communicate recommendations to the Data Assurance Manager.

Track recurring themes and assist with implementing corrective actions in partnership with Regional Permit Managers.
Ad-Hoc Training & 1: 1 Coaching
-
Provide ad-hoc training sessions when quality issues or team gaps are identified.

Conduct one-on-one coaching for individuals who need help with specific areas (e.g., drafting standards, jurisdiction requirements, milestone updates, redline interpretation, documentation quality).

Reinforce best practices and provide supportive, constructive feedback.
Process Improvement Support
-
Assist in documenting inefficiencies or unclear steps within the permitting process and recommend practical improvements.
-
Help maintain and refine SOPs, checklists, and job aids based on RCA trends or team feedback.

Provide input on standardization opportunities across drafting, QC, research, and coordinating teams.
Data Integrity & Reporting Assistance
-
Support the Data Assurance Manager in researching and cleaning up data integrity issues in Salesforce/Insite.

Assist with monitoring milestones, jurisdiction identification fields, quality flags, and submission accuracy.
-
Validate and contribute to operational reports, dashboards, and quality insights used by leadership.
-
Help track quality KPIs, RCA categories, and improvement progress.
Audit & Compliance Support
-
Assist with internal audits and preparation for external audits.

Help ensure permitting teams follow documented procedures and maintain required data standards.
-
Provide feedback to teams when audit findings indicate training or process gaps.
SKILLS AND PROFICIENCIES
-
Strong analytical ability; able to interpret RCAs, redlines, defects, and data patterns
-
Good understanding of telecom permitting workflows (drafting, QC, research, coordination)
-
Clear communicator who can explain complex topics simply
-
Comfortable coaching individuals in a supportive, non-judgmental manner
-
Strong attention to detail and documentation skills
-
Capable of identifying small process improvements that have a big impact
-
Familiarity with Salesforce/Insite or permitting software (preferred)
-
Ability to work cross-functionally with diverse teams
PHYSICAL DEMANDS

Ability to travel up to 20% of the time, by air or vehicle and may require overnight stay up to one week at a time

This role is remote and requires you to work from home in a distraction-free environment with adequate space to set up a home office

QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS

2–4 year’s experience in permitting, drafting, QC, research, or a quality-focused role
-
Experience with RCA, audits, or process improvement is highly preferred
-
Strong communication skills (written and verbal)
-
Ability to work independently but collaboratively with leads and managers
-
Comfortable conducting one-on-one training or coaching sessions
-
Strong organizational skills and ability to manage several small initiatives at once
-
Positive, supportive, and patient approach to developing others
