Overview The Assistant Brand Designer is responsible for partnering across different types of design projects and execution of comprehensive brand design and graphic design projects across our Global Food and Global Beverage portfolios.
Successful candidates will demonstrate a superior ability to learn and start applying design thinking from ideation through concept development, refinement, and execution.
Create high-quality brand design solutions by directly executing design and leveraging internal/external design resources.
The Designer must be able to sketch and articulate his/her creative thinking.
Responsibilities Execute brand & packaging design projects: Design for global food and beverage brands under Pepsi Co.
Support 360° brand identities across packaging, graphics, and multiple touchpoints.
Apply design thinking end-to-end: Participate in ideation, concept development, refinement, and final execution.
Translate strategic briefs into strong visual concepts.
Create high-quality visual assets: Produce layouts, illustrations, brand elements, and graphic systems.
Work across multiple styles, media, and formats.
Collaborate cross-functionally: Partner with innovation, design strategy, industrial design, and other internal teams.
Work effectively in a team-based, collaborative design environment.
Support innovation initiatives: Contribute to early-stage concepting and front-end innovation work.
Help bring new product and brand ideas to life visually.
Sketch and communicate ideas: Use sketching as a thinking and communication tool.
Clearly articulate creative concepts to teammates and stakeholders.
Storyboard and visualize narratives: Create story flows, transitions, and visual journeys.
Map out movements and experiences across touchpoints.
Research & creative direction support: Research complex topics to inform design decisions.
Help develop visual treatments and design approaches.
Assist in keeping projects on schedule and within scope/budget.
Leverage internal & external resources: Execute work directly while also collaborating with other designers or vendors when needed.
Maintain technical design excellence: Deliver polished, production-ready design work.
Visualize design stories clearly and consistently.
Qualifications BA or MA in Design required or equivalent experience Minimum 1 year of experience with a background in packaging design and brand design with 360 identities.
Will have a strong understanding of graphic design as well as a good basic understanding of industrial design.
Great sketching skills and idea development techniques to create and communicate concepts.
Work cross-functionally throughout the center to support Innovation and Design.
Collaborative, able to ideate and construct ideas within a team-based design environment.
Technically solid, able to illuminate ideas and visualize design stories across a variety of media.
