Position Summary:
Coordinate the day to day activities in support of telecommunications processes including wireless device workflow management; wireless feature management; wireless inventory management; Agent Centralization; and operations and agent support including the open/closure process. Day to day activities would include analyzing Telecommunications vendor inventory reports and working with internal and external contacts to update as required to ensure accuracy; providing support to field and corporate departments for telecommunications related moves/adds/changes and daily operational activities; summarizing telecommunications data from internal and external sources for monthly, quarterly, and annual Telecommunications dashboards; and documentation of telecommunications process and procedures.
Major Responsibilities:
- Wireless device management; including ordering, feature changes, update the wireless workflows
- Wireless device customer support
- Support all field locations via phone calls and e-mails and to handle wireless telephony issues as they arise.
- Maintain the Telecom inventory of all local telephone circuits for Penske Truck Leasing.
- Oversee and coordinate the installation of new Telecom equipment and circuits as new locations are opened, relocated or closed.
- Ensure uninterrupted service, cost effective rate plans and accurate invoices from our vendors.
- Provide Project Lead support for installing and relocating telephony equipment in PTL District offices and Penske Logistic locations. Will be required to utilize existing Telecom Database and Project Management scheduling process.
- Determine new processes for handling field issues and to streamline the process where necessary.
- Document Telecom process and procedures, summarize telecom data from internal and external sources for monthly, quarterly and annual dashboards.
- Other projects as assigned by the supervisor
Qualifications:
- 1 year telecommunications experience is preferred.
- High School diploma required, Bachelor’s Degree is preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office specifically Access and Excel.
- Proven written and oral communications skills.
- Must be a self-starter and able to work independently.
- Green Belt Certification a plus.
- Experience in analyzing data and interpreting data preferred
- Regular, predictable, full attendance is an essential function of the job
- Willingness to travel as necessary, work the required schedule, work at the specific location required, complete Penske employment application, submit to a background investigation (to include past employment, education, and criminal history) and drug screening are required
