Position Summary:

This position is responsible for conducting or assisting in internal and external investigations as part of Penske Transportation Solutions Security Department to ensure a timely and thorough resolution to assigned cases. Effect coordination with federal, state, and local law enforcement agencies, as well as regulatory agencies to promote Penske’s interests. Research, identify, develop and conduct training on topics for which the Security Department is responsible.

The role is an “in-office” position where the Manager

  • Corporate Security Operations is expected to be in the office 4 days per week.

Major Responsibilities:

  • Assist or coordinate with federal, state and local law enforcement agencies, as well as regulatory agencies.
  • Investigative requests
  • Court Order and subpoena responses
  • Conducts and support of Security Department investigations and activities to include:
  • Asset recovery
  • Theft internal/external investigations
  • Rental/Lease fraud investigations
  • Drug Investigations
  • Develops, expand and establish security liaison relationships with all levels of law enforcement and private sector security entities.
  • Conducts background and due diligence investigations.
  • Other projects and tasks as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree preferred. If no degree, equivalent work experience is required.
  • Graduate of the FBI National Academy or similar law enforcement leadership training and education strongly preferred.
  • Minimum 10+ years of local, state or federal law enforcement experience is required.
  • Minimum 5+ years of criminal investigations experience required.
  • Advanced case management experience required.
  • Intermediate knowledge of social media, current events.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook• Supervisory experience preferred.
  • Analyze situations and devise/implement effective solutions• Able to conduct complex research, has good judgment and good decision-making skills• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal• Regular, predictable, full attendance is an essential function of the job• Willingness to travel as necessary, work the required schedule, work at the specific location required, complete Penske employment application, submit to a background investigation (to include past employment, education, and criminal history) and drug screening are required.
