Overview

We're looking for a Senior DevOps/Platform Engineer to join our AI Platforms team and lead the automation of infrastructure and consumer workflows. You'll work primarily in Azure (with some GCP and AWS), managing infrastructure that powers our AI platform services and Azure-based AI technologies. This is a high-impact role focused on enabling internal teams to rapidly access AI platform resources through automated, self-service workflows. You'll also help develop less experienced engineers and build scalable, reliable infrastructure for our growing AI ecosystem.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and implementation of automated onboarding workflows using Gitops and other developer portal tools for AI platform consumers (internal teams)

• Build and maintain self-service onboarding processes for platform resources including identity/access management, project provisioning, secrets management, database provisioning, and repository setup

• Develop new automation workflows for emerging AI platform use cases and services

• Manage and optimize Azure infrastructure: AKS, Azure Container Apps (ACA), App Gateways, Azure Networking, Key Vaults, PostgreSQL

• Automate infrastructure provisioning and deployments using Terraform and GitHub Actions

• Integrate with third-party Saa

S solutions and API Gateway technologies:

• Manage Azure networking and load balancing components for platform connectivity and integration with on-prem networks

• Implement and enhance observability using Prometheus, Grafana, Splunk, and Open Telemetry

• Support CI/CD integrations with enterprise tools (Jenkins, Github, Artifactory, XL Deploy/Release)

• Mentor and develop less experienced team members

• Provide hands-on support for platform infrastructure and troubleshooting

Qualifications

• Expert-level experience with Azure cloud services, particularly AKS, ACA, Azure networking, and Azure database services
• 5+ years of DevOps/Platform Engineering experience
• Strong automation skills using Terraform and GitHub Actions
• Strong troubleshooting and root cause analysis skills in complex, multi-service environments
• Experience with version control systems (Git required)
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment
• Experience with Cortex.io or similar internal developer portals/service catalogs
• Proven track record building self-service platform tooling and developer onboarding workflows
• Strong understanding of Kubernetes and container orchestration
• Experience with PostgreSQL, Redis, and database automation
• Familiarity with observability tools (Prometheus, Grafana, Splunk, Open Telemetry)
• Experience with API gateways (Kong preferred) and Azure App Gateway
• Comfortable working across multiple cloud platforms (Azure primary, GCP/AWS secondary)
• Strong mentoring and knowledge-sharing abilities
• Bonus: Experience with Lang Graph, AI/ML platforms, Astronomer/Airflow, or Snowflake integrations
