Overview:

The Senior Director, Home Furnishings will work with the SVP. They will lead the strategy, growth, and execution of a North American multi-category business. This business includes domestics, hydration, kitchen items, room décor, furniture, and infant/toddler care. It encompasses Paramount's portfolio of well-known entertainment brands and franchises. This role is tasked with setting the long-term vision for the category, managing a portfolio of licensee partners, and delivering robust commercial results across all demos and channels of distribution.
This leader is in charge of the category strategy and financial performance. They drive revenue growth by planning carefully, creating structured deals, and building solid relationships with partners. The Senior Director translates brand and franchise direction into compelling, consumer-relevant programs that are scalable and aligned with brand standards. The ideal candidate is a strategic, commercially minded, and an effective people leader with deep licensing expertise, advanced financial acumen, and a hands-on approach to execution. They bring an entrepreneurial mindset, executive presence, and the ability to lead teams while collaborating closely with cross-functional partners and external licensees. This leader understands how to leverage Paramount's iconic IP portfolio to create authentic, differentiated programs that resonate with consumers across all demographics.

Responsibilities:

Set and execute the Home Furnishings licensing strategy, advancing growth across domestics, hydration, kitchen, room décor, furniture, and infant/toddler care categories.
Own the Home Furnishings P&L, including revenue planning, forecasting, and delivery of incremental growth against targets.
Drive innovation agenda, identifying emerging trends and whitespace opportunities ahead of market.
Translate consumer insights, market trends, and demographic nuances into actionable product strategies that resonate across target audiences.
Establish and monitor KPIs for license performance, retail velocity, and brand health within category.
Build, manage, and expand senior-level licensee relationships and serve as the executive face of the Home
Furnishing business in external partners and retailer discussions.
Lead quarterly business reviews with licensee partners to assess performance, address challenges, and ensure strategic alignment.
Partner with cross-functional teams to expand distribution, strengthen assortments, and activate retail programs across all channels of distribution.
Present franchise vision, category strategy, and long-range growth plans to licensees, retail partners, and internal management teams.
Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing Home Furnishings team.

Basic Qualifications:

10+ years of progressive experience in licensing, consumer products, home furnishings, brand management, or a related commercial role, with increasing responsibility.
Proficient with licensing systems/tools and retail analytics platforms.
Proven track record of owning and delivering against a multi-million business, including revenue planning, forecasting, and growth targets.
Experience in starting, negotiating, and finalizing complex licensing or commercial agreements.
Proficient PowerPoint skills for business presentations and strategic communication.
Proficient in Microsoft Excel for financial modeling, forecasting, and data analysis.
Experience with both established licensed properties and emerging brands/franchises preferred.
Solid business development and account executive team experience.

Additional Qualifications:

Demonstrated fluency in comprehending the retail landscape.
Knowledge of consumer products in different home categories including product development cycles, retail merchandising, and go-to-market strategies.
Robust analytical skills with ability to synthesize data, market trends, and consumer insights into actionable strategies.
Proven ability to lead, develop, and inspire teams with track record of building high-performing, collaborative cultures.
Top-notch executive communication and presentation skills with ability to influence at all levels.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:

Hiring Salary Range: $160,000.00 - 210,000.00.

The hiring salary range for this position applies to New York City, California, Colorado, Washington state, and most other geographies. Starting pay for the successful applicant depends on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education. The benefits available for this position include medical, dental, vision, 401(k) plan, life insurance coverage, disability benefits, tuition assistance program and PTO or, if applicable, as otherwise dictated by the appropriate Collective Bargaining Agreement. This position is bonus eligible.
