In this high‑impact role, you’ll shape the growth and future of our brands in the Korean market. You will lead the development and execution of strategic licensing initiatives that drive revenue while protecting and elevating brand integrity. Working closely with licensee partners, you will identify new business opportunities, expand into exciting categories, and ensure our diverse brand portfolio achieves strong market presence and lasting consumer appeal.
Key Responsibilities:
- Formulate and execute licensing strategies to enhance brand visibility and drive revenue growth in Korea.
- Lead all aspects of licensees and partner relationships, ensuring adherence to brand standards and contractual requirements.
- Negotiate licensing agreements and renewals in collaboration with legal and finance teams.
- Analyze market trends, consumer insights, and competitor activities to identify and capitalize on growth opportunities.
- Collaborate with regional and global teams to ensure strategic alignment and facilitate the exchange of best practices.
- Monitor and report on competitive activity, including performance metrics, forecasts, and market analysis.
- Support marketing and retail activation initiatives to strengthen brand visibility
- Collaborate with internal teams to improve franchise support and ensure licensees actively participate in key themes and promotional events.
- Lead annual business reviews and quarterly revenue forecasting by collecting and analyzing budget and sales data from licensees and developing actionable response plans.
Qualifications:
- Degree in Business, Marketing, or related field with 5 years of experience, preferably in licensing, brand management, or related industry
- Experience in entertainment, character, or consumer products licensing
- Demonstrated ability to navigate successfully in a fast-paced, dynamic organization, along with significant influence/negotiation skills with senior-level executives
- Be creative & entrepreneurial with approaching business partnerships, explore opportunities with new partners
- Ability to think strategically with a flair for negotiation, with a familiarity with the Korean retail and e-commerce landscape
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both English and Korean, a dynamic and global environment
- Highly organized, collaborative self-starter with the ability to work under pressure, set priorities, handle multiple projects, and meet tight deadlines
