We are seeking a Transmission Coordinator to assist the Transmission Department in the daily scheduling and delivery of CSN Studio, remote, and taped programming at CBS Sports!
The duties and responsibilities of the CBSN Transmission Coordinator will include but are not limited to the following:
Scheduling transmission facilities for all CBS Sport Studio, Remote, Production, Paramount+, and Assignment Desk events
Scheduling and coordination of remote transmission service providers, satellite, and fiber vendors
Day of air coordination of all Live Studio and Remote broadcast transmission
Technical evaluations and adjustments to all incoming signals
Troubleshooting any issues pertaining to the delivery of CBS Sports programming
Quality control of all CBS Sports Taped programming prior to air
Tracking all CBS Sports Programming to ensure delivery to the CBS Sports Origination Facilities

Skills and Experience:

Working knowledge of television master control and transmission systems
Knowledge of routers, server workflows, monitoring equipment, file and video formats, compression technologies, frame synchronizers, and video conversion techniques (e.g. aspect ratio, up and cross conversion)
Knowledge of IP/Cloud Based delivery workflows
Must be able to assess complex system problems and take corrective action
Ability to work proficiently under high-pressure situations (e.g. breaking news, system outages)
Must be detail oriented and have solid collaboration, organizational, and communication skills.
Ability to lead in a fluid television broadcast environment
Flexibility to work irregular hours, holidays, and weekends
Must be available to work in the NY and Stamford CT locations

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:

Hiring Salary Range: $74,400.00 - 93,000.00.

The hiring salary range for this position applies to New York, California, Colorado, Washington state, and most other geographies. Starting pay for the successful applicant depends on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education. The benefits available for this position include medical, dental, vision, 401(k) plan, life insurance coverage, disability benefits, tuition assistance program and PTO or, if applicable, as otherwise dictated by the appropriate Collective Bargaining Agreement.
