About the Role:

The Livestream Lead Producer will be responsible for the end-to-end production of technically-staffed livestreams that may take place in campus studios, rented studios, secured office locations, and public event venues.

In this role, you will:

  • Manage the front to end lifecycle of OpenAI public livestreams.

  • Collaborate with Events, Marketing, Design, and Communications leaders to understand key objectives that shape our identity and messaging.

  • Analyze performance metrics and viewer feedback to identify trends and recommend improvements to our livestreams.

  • Define goals, coordinate milestones, and support cross-functional teams throughout the livestream production cycle—from concept to completion.

  • Work with cross-functional teams on the development of scripts, technical demos, and creative assets.

  • Organize table reads, studio rehearsals, and day-of-show operations.

  • Partner with top-tier production agencies, preferred freelancers, and internal staff to ensure high-caliber production talent.

  • Work closely with technical agencies and staff to ensure studio/venue/crew capabilities match or exceed OAI production standards.

  • Act as final production decision-maker during active live productions

  • Oversee and support the Director and Showcaller in leading the crew, meeting the goals of the production, and maintaining OpenAI identity.

  • Act as Director when productions require.

You might thrive in this role if you have:

  • Experience in all pre, prod, and post elements of live video production, including Marketing and Design, streaming platforms, studio management, set design, talent coaching, and viewership/distribution.

  • Granular understanding of all studio, control room, and field roles during livestream events.

  • Direct experience in producing studio livestreams, live television, or advanced-venue livestream events.
