The Opportunity

The Senior Vice President, Global Product Marketing will define and lead Okta’s global go-to-market strategy—shaping positioning, messaging, pricing and monetization, and launch strategy to differentiate Okta in a rapidly evolving market. This executive will set the vision for how we communicate the value of our products and inspire cross-functional teams to execute with excellence.

Operating at the intersection of Product, Sales, Customer Success, and Marketing, this leader pairs deep technical understanding with exceptional storytelling ability. They will translate complex identity and infrastructure concepts into clear, compelling, and differentiated narratives that resonate with customers, analysts, and the broader market.

Key Responsibilities Leadership & Team Development

  • Build, scale, and lead a world-class global product marketing organization in a high-growth SaaS environment.

  • Foster a culture of excellence, development, and career growth; lead through vision, clarity, and accountability.

  • Serve as a strategic advisor and thought partner to product and go-to-market leadership.

Go-to-Market Strategy

  • Define and evolve Okta’s go-to-market plays, including target audiences, personas, value propositions, and messaging frameworks.

  • Partner closely with Product, Sales, and Marketing to ensure alignment across the entire customer lifecycle.

Sales Enablement & Field Readiness

  • Transform the field organization into a force multiplier by creating compelling training, positioning, and sales tools.

  • Collaborate with Sales and Enablement to embed differentiated messaging into qualification, discovery, and close.

Product Positioning & Messaging

  • Own the development of innovative, differentiated messaging and value propositions across product lines.

  • Deliver high-impact content to support the full buyer journey—presentations, demos, competitive tools, and campaign assets.

Product Launch Excellence

  • Lead major product launches, working cross-functionally with Product, Program Management, and GTM teams to drive cohesive, high-impact release motions.

External Influence & Market Presence

  • Represent Okta with industry and financial analysts; shape their understanding of our strategy and differentiation.

  • Build strong customer relationships, spending at least 30% of time meeting with customers to gather insights and deepen advocacy.

Experience & Qualifications

  • Extensive experience in enterprise SaaS or cloud technology product marketing, ideally selling to CIO, CTO, and CEO audiences.

  • Proven success launching new products in hyper-growth markets serving large global enterprises (G2K).

  • Demonstrated ability to partner with and elevate global Sales and GTM organizations.

  • Experience leading managers of managers (4th-line leadership).

  • Comfort presenting to and influencing CEOs and Boards of Directors.

  • Track record of building and scaling high-performing global teams.
