What You Will Work On:

As part of our innovative security concepts team, you will contribute to both research and engineering activities, including research and implementation tasks:

• Conduct a literature study to explore the latest advancements in PQC

• Search for and evaluate existing PQC implementations

• Port open-source PQC libraries to NXP embedded boards

• Implement cryptographic solutions from academic papers

• Benchmark and analyze the performance of PQC on embedded devices

This internship gives you the chance to transform cutting-edge cryptographic theory into practical, real-world solutions on embedded hardware!

Your Profile

You’re a motivated student currently pursuing studies in one of the following fields: Computer Science, Telematics, Information Security, or a related discipline.

Skills that help you shine:

• Programming expertise in C

• Familiarity with programming microcontrollers

• Cryptography knowledge is a plus

• Good English skills (spoken and written)

Availability:** Full-time for**2–3 months between June and September 2026

The minimum salary for this position is EUR 2.100- gross/month for full-time equivalent at NXP Austria.
