About the Role
NVIDIA is searching for talented interns at the bachelor, master, or PhD level to join our growing 6G and Agentic AI research team. The ideal candidates will be conducting innovative research at the intersection of 6G Communications, Aerial Networks, AI-RAN (AI-powered Radio Access Networks), and Agentic AI systems, working alongside top authorities in these fields. With incredible resources at your disposal, you will be able to impact, contribute and advance these exciting domains.
Topics include but are not limited to distributed AI inference at the edge, intelligent spectrum management, autonomous network optimization, AI-driven resource allocation, network virtualization, edge computing acceleration, and intelligent radio access architectures.
With its unique open culture, NVIDIA is one of the best industry labs to conduct cutting-edge research in next-generation wireless and autonomous systems. DPU Data-Processing Units are the smallest form of a data center, and provide the foundation to implement accelerated computing at the network edge, where both processing and communications experience a performance boost through the utilization of dedicated processors. DPUs enable real-time AI inference for 6G applications, support autonomous decision-making in aerial networks, and accelerate AI-RAN processing on-board, deep packet inspection and cryptography accelerations among others thanks to onboard GPUs and acceleration engines.
What You'll Be Doing
- Be at the forefront of 6G and Agentic AI network research
- Partner and collaborate with forward-thinking industry leaders and external researchers in wireless communications
- Participate and speak at conferences and events
- Publish original research in next-generation networking and AI
- Work with intelligent aerial and ground-based systems powered by autonomous AI agents that can learn, reason, and make independent decisions across distributed network components
- Develop algorithms for autonomous network optimization and intelligent resource management
Qualifications
- Currently pursuing or completed a degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Math, Physics, Statistics, or a related field (bachelor, master, or PhD level)
- General computer science and/or telecommunications background, preferably in algorithm design, system programming, wireless communications, machine learning, operating systems, and distributed systems architecture
- Strong programming (C/C++/Python) and software development skills
- Track record of technical excellence through coursework, projects, publications, or public repositories
- Good communication skills
- Interest in AI, autonomous systems, or next-generation wireless technologies is a plus
