For more than two decades, NVIDIA has pioneered visual computing, the art and science of computer graphics! With a rare focus on this field, we offer specialized platforms for the gaming, professional visualization, data center, and automotive markets. Our work is at the center of the most consequential mega-trends in technology — virtual reality, artificial intelligence, and self-driving cars. This role supports many users and systems in a worldwide production environment. We are looking for a technical leader with excellent judgment, strong attention to detail, and a passion for building impactful engineering teams. You will lead engineers responsible for creating scalable, reliable enterprise software platforms, while fostering a culture of automation, self-service, and clear documentation. Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills are essential!
You will be responsible for ensuring your team creates, maintains, and continuously improves applications, tools, and automation infrastructure that support engineering and IT teams across NVIDIA. You will find opportunities for increased automation and efficiency, champion engineering excellence, and ensure the delivery of well-documented, well-tested, and high-quality software — all while meeting business objectives and timelines.
What you’ll be doing:
-
Lead, mentor, and grow a team of software engineers responsible for designing, building, and operating an enterprise software engineering platform that supports infrastructure and services at scale.
-
Set technical direction and architectural standards for platforms that manage workflows across enterprise software, appliances, networks, and open-source technologies.
-
Oversee the design, evolution, and reliability of REST APIs used by thousands of engineers for on-demand infrastructure and workflow management.
-
Guide the development and integration of provisioning, metrics, monitoring, and management software to support highly available infrastructure services.
-
Drive automation initiatives to improve deployment, scalability, reliability, and operational efficiency across large-scale engineering environments.
-
Partner multi-functionally with infrastructure, security, IT, and product stakeholders to align priorities, roadmaps, and execution.
-
Establish best practices for documentation, testing, and operational readiness, and ensure the team delivers well-architected, maintainable solutions.
-
Plan and manage team execution, including project prioritization, milestone tracking, capacity planning, and on-time delivery. Support hiring efforts, performance management, career development, and succession planning for the team.
What we need to see:
-
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
-
6+ Years of Proven experience managing and leading software engineering teams.
-
12+ overall years of experience in infrastructure or platform-focused environments.
-
Strong technical background in designing and operating REST APIs at scale for internal or enterprise users.
-
Experience overseeing systems involving provisioning, metrics, monitoring, and infrastructure management workflows.
-
Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, Kubernetes, cloud deployments, and AWS, with the ability to guide architectural decisions.
-
Working knowledge of Python and Go, sufficient to review designs, code, and technical tradeoffs.
-
Exposure to JavaScript frameworks and UI design, enabling effective collaboration and oversight.
-
Ability to balance hands-on technical depth with people leadership and strategic planning.
Ways to stand out from the crowd:
-
Experience leading teams that ship microservice-based and containerized software to production.
-
Background in security standards, identity, and credential management.
-
Experience with large-scale data center automation and provisioning.
-
A track record of building inclusive, high-trust, and high-impact engineering teams.
