NVIDIA’s development of the GPU in 1999 accelerated the growth of the PC gaming market, redefined modern computer graphics, and transformed parallel computing. More recently, GPU deep learning launched modern AI, starting a new phase in computing. The GPU works as the brain of machines like computers, robots, and driverless cars that detect and interpret the world. Today, we are progressively known as “the AI computing company.” We're looking to expand our company and build our teams with the most multifaceted talent worldwide. Join us at the forefront of technological evolution.
NVIDIA Silicon Solutions Group is seeking a Senior HSIO Validation Engineer to be part of the HW Arch Dev team. The SSG team is uniquely positioned to have an end-to-end view of the product development cycle - from early architecture definition through bring-up to product release. Our Arch Dev arm is a hub for all silicon and system-level feature development, tradeoff analysis, system integration solutions, and system POR alignment.
What you'll be doing:
-
Innovate and Build: Architect and build system and platform level features to improve power, performance, quality, and manufacturability. Develop innovative methods to improve the silicon validation process, ensuring we meet the highest industry standards.
-
Collaborate and Lead: Work closely with ASIC, VLSI, SW, board design, SLT/ATE, and AE teams throughout the product lifecycle. Lead platform-related development, optimization, productization, debugging, and deployment efforts.
-
Push the Boundary: Define roadmaps based on market trends, collect product feedback, prototype new insights, and conduct data-driven tradeoff analysis.
-
Hands-on Actions: Support silicon bring-up, validation, and debugging; coordinate product-level feature deployment; lead efforts to address customer issues.
-
Drive Planning and Execution: Coordinate the planning and implementation of NVLINK/C2C or similar interfaces in functional bring-up, system-level validation, productization, and issue resolution for NVIDIA GPUs, SOCs, and CPUs.
What we need to see:
-
BS or MS in Electrical/Computer Engineering or equivalent experience with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.
-
In-depth understanding of PCIe (or similar) protocol and characterization/validation methods in a post-silicon environment.
-
Excellent knowledge of signal integrity concepts, silicon characteristics, and high-speed/SERDES functional validation.
-
Proficiency with lab equipment (DSOs, BERT, protocol/logic analyzers) and hands-on post-Si bring-up and functional validation of HSIO interfaces.
-
Strong scripting skills in languages such as Perl and Python for writing test/debug programs for stress and failure analysis.
-
Outstanding problem-solving, teamwork, and interpersonal skills.
It’s not just technology, though! The individuals here rank among the brightest globally. Central to NVIDIA's culture are our core principles, including innovation, perfection, determination, and cooperation, that encourage us to achieve excellence. This makes NVIDIA one of the most forward-thinking and varied workplaces. We commit our professional lives here, and if you are imaginative and driven, we want to hear from you.
