We are searching for a creative and highly motivated engineer with deep expertise in system software to join our Nv Sci team as part of NVIDIA DRIVE platforms. Nv Sci technology provides a sophisticated set of libraries for generation and processing of images and higher-dimensional data, enabling DRIVE SW Safety & Security Architecture. It delivers advanced streaming solutions that let NVIDIA DRIVE users develop software frameworks and distributed applications that:
-
Optimize use of NVIDIA hardware acceleration capabilities
-
Seamlessly port across NVIDIA platforms
-
Scale from simple deployments to complex hardware systems
Our work spans automotive to data centers, ensuring robust performance, scalability, and real-time monitoring. In this fast‑evolving field, we continuously adopt the latest practices to enhance software integrity and reliability.
What you’ll be doing:
-
Define and drive a comprehensive verification strategy with clear quality goals and CI gates. Scale automated testing frameworks across CI environments and target hardware to ensure continuous, high‑quality validation throughout the development lifecycle.
-
Architect high‑signal test strategies for Nv Sci middleware, Nv Streams, and NvIPC—including stress, fault‑injection, fuzzing, and regression testing—to ensure robustness under extreme conditions and compliance with ISO 26262, ASPICE, and ISO 21434.
-
Lead verification efforts focused on system robustness, error handling, and graceful degradation and recovery, ensuring functional safety compliance and reliable operation across varied automotive use cases and failure scenarios.
-
Partner with engineering teams to champion design‑for‑testability, creating robust interfaces, diagnostics, and tooling that simplify debugging, improve observability, and elevate developer experience and software maintainability.
-
Design and implement next‑generation Nv Sci software and APIs that provide seamless cross‑platform functionality and integration with user applications and acceleration libraries on diverse So Cs. Evaluate trade‑offs in resource‑constrained environments to optimize performance and middleware efficiency.
-
Research, adopt, and integrate advanced software engineering practices, automation tooling, and generative AI–driven workflows to improve the reliability, scalability, and long‑term maintainability of Nv Sci components and associated middleware.
What we need to see:
-
BS or MS in CS/CE/EE or related engineering field, or equivalent experience
-
7 years of relevant software development experience
-
Proficiency in C/C and Python
-
Experience in system architecture and embedded systems, building complex systems with multiple threads, CPUs, accelerators, and chips
-
Strong understanding of operating systems
-
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to clearly convey complex technical concepts
-
Demonstrated problem‑solving skills, with a track record of driving solutions from concept to production
-
Ability to work effectively in cross‑functional, distributed teams
Ways to stand out from the crowd:
-
Knowledge of automotive quality and safety standards: ASPICE, ISO 26262, ISO 21434
-
Experience with formal verification methods and tools (for example, TLA)
-
Experience in process automation and workflow optimization in large‑scale software environments
-
Understanding of the unique challenges in autonomous vehicle software systems, specifically around safety, security, and real‑time performance
