NVIDIA is looking for a committed, outstanding software developer or computer scientist to join our Compute Developer Technology (Devtech) team. Scientific visualization is evolving rapidly with the recent advances in rendering algorithms, display technology, supercomputer architectures, and the application of cloud computing. In addition, the rise of cognitive capabilities thanks to advances in machine learning have enabled entirely novel approaches to visualization of largest-scale datasets. As a distributed systems engineer in the Devtech organization, you will play a crucial role in developing reliable and scalable distributed scientific visualization solutions and will work closely with engineers and scientists around the world.
What you will be doing:
-
Design, implement, optimize, and maintain robust distributed systems for scientific HPC/ML applications based on pioneering technologies and high-end hardware.
-
Devise and research novel approaches to large-scale, world-wide distributed scientific computing and visualization.
-
Channel user requirements for continual improvements in interoperability, availability, performance, and quality of the developed components.
-
Collaborate with diverse groups inside and outside NVIDIA such as domain scientists, ML experts, cloud infrastructure, research, and solution architect teams to constantly improve our platform.
What we need to see:
-
A MS or PhD degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field or equivalent experience
-
4+ years of experience building and developing large-scale infrastructure, distributed systems or networks, and/or experience with compute technologies, storage, and/or hardware architecture.
-
Strong knowledge of C/C++ and/or Python with solid understanding in software design, programming techniques, and algorithms.
-
A passion for reliability, scale, and performance.
-
Good communication and organization skills, with a logical approach to problem solving, good time management, and task prioritization skills.
With highly competitive salaries, a comprehensive benefits package, and a great company culture, NVIDIA is widely considered to be one of the technology industry's most desirable employers. We have some of the most forward-thinking and hardworking people in the world and our engineering teams are rapidly growing. If you are a creative and autonomous engineer with a real passion for technology, we want to hear from you.
