About the Role
NVIDIA is building a documentation organization that operates like a platform team: standards, systems, and measurable outcomes. Best-in-class products deserve best-in-class documentation that sets the pace for the industry. In this role, you lead a global org of technical writers, editors, and documentation tooling engineers. We regard documentation as part of the developer experience and as a release-critical deliverable. We want someone who sets the standard for clarity, correctness, and scalability, using AI thoughtfully and safely!
You own documentation end to end: strategy, tooling, and execution. You'll drive impact with the millions of worldwide NVIDIA docs (docs.nvidia.com) users. Documentation spans APIs, SDKs, installation, deployment, operations, and troubleshooting across NVIDIA's hardware and software portfolios. It serves both developer and enterprise audiences and is tightly coupled to releases, quality, and customer trust.
AI is not optional here. It is foundational, applied thoughtfully to improve clarity, coverage, and speed while preserving accuracy.
What You Will Be Doing
- Build and lead the team, define standards, and create accountability
- Partner deeply with Engineering and Product to ensure docs are accurate, release-aligned, and deliver innovative developer experiences, not just readable on a page
- Modernize tooling and delivery, and make documentation measurable through metrics that drive prioritization
Requirements
- 12+ overall years experience in user documentation
- 4+ years experience in technical content leadership
- Strong "docs as a platform" experience: docs-as-code, Git-based workflows, modern doc tooling (ex: Fern)
- Track record driving data-informed doc quality and performance improvements
- Technical depth to partner with senior engineers and architects (and earn trust quickly)
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in a relevant field
Ways to Stand Out
- Experience implementing AI-powered solutions for search optimization, documentation maintenance, and quality assurance
- Experience working with open-source communities and external contributors
- Ability to shape documentation strategy in a high-growth, rapidly evolving organization
