The Financial and Cloud Systems Engineering (FCSE) team is responsible for the unified commerce platform (UCP) that powers NVIDIA’s entire global commerce business, with a focus on cloud-based subscription and usage-based products. We are seeking a diligent and technically sharp Technical Program Manager to drive the configuration management and operational excellence of our critical financial services.
This is a vital role for an operational leader who understands the complexities of Fin Tech ecosystems. You will be the guardian of stability for our tax engines, subledgers, automated reconciliation, payment systems, and usage-based billing infrastructure, ensuring they are configured correctly and consistently across environments (production and non-production), and running smoothly to support our rapid global growth.
What you'll be doing:
-
Operational Leadership: Business representative for the day-to-day technical operations and health of UCP services, specifically focusing on the Tax Engine, Subledger, Automated Reconciliation, Payment Systems, and Usage-based billing modules.
-
Configuration Management: Owning the lifecycle of system configurations. You will ensure that complex tax rules, billing rate cards, revenue amortization schedules, and financial mapping logic are version-controlled, tested, and deployed accurately across environments.
-
Incident & Problem Management: Acting as the primary product management function for implementing root cause analysis actions after operational incidents within the commerce stack. You will collaborate with engineering on root cause analysis (RCA) process and partner with them to implement permanent fixes.
-
Cross-Functional Orchestration: acting as the bridge between Engineering, Finance, Tax, and internal NVIDIA customers/tenants. You will translate complex business requirements (e.g., a new tax law in a specific region, new currency approved) into technical configuration changes.
What we need to see:
-
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related technical field (or equivalent experience).
-
8 years of experience in Technical Program Management, Release Management, or Site Reliability Engineering, specifically within Fin Tech, e Commerce, or Enterprise ERP environments.
-
Deep understanding of financial systems flows, including how data moves through payment gateways, billing engines, tax calculation services, and general ledgers.
-
Past Experience in leading cross functional programs across multiple business units.
-
Hands-on experience with configuration management, including familiarity with JSON/XML configurations and version control systems (Git).
-
Proficiency in SQL and data analysis tools to troubleshoot reconciliation discrepancies and usage-based billing errors independently.
-
Strong experience with Incident Management processes and tools (e.g., JIRA, Pager Duty, Service Now).
-
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical outages to non-technical finance and business stakeholders.
Ways to stand out from the crowd:
-
Experience with specific commerce and finance platforms (e.g., Avalara, Fonoa, SAP, Stripe, Pay Pal, Workday Financial, etc.
-
A background in usage-based or metered billing models (e.g., cloud computing billing, consumption-based SaaS).
-
Past experience/evidence of leveraging AI tools to automate routine tasks to improve productivity and speed to delivery.
