We are seeking a Director of Platform Quality Engineering for NVIDIA Omniverse, the developer platform to enable Physical AI and digital twins. This role requires strong leadership to define and execute a comprehensive quality strategy, manage and mentor a high-performing team, and collaborate effectively across engineering, product, and QA organizations. The ideal candidate brings deep expertise in quality engineering principles, test-driven development, first-principles analysis, automated testing frameworks, and CI/CD pipelines, along with a proven track record of delivering high-quality, large-scale developer platforms related to Physical AI.
What you'll be doing:

Define the platform organization's overall quality strategy!

Drive adoption of standards for quality engineering, including test automation, performance testing, security testing, and chaos engineering.

Establish clear quality metrics to monitor and communicate platform health.

Lead all aspects of the design, development, and maintenance of robust and scalable automated testing frameworks and tools.

Collaborate with platform architecture and development teams to embed quality principles early in the development lifecycle (shift-left).

Drive continuous performance and scalability analysis, proactively identifying and addressing bottlenecks using scientific, first-principles measures.

Implement strategies for AI-assisted testing and analysis of code quality

Partner closely with Engineering Leads, Product Management, and QA teams to align quality goals with business objectives and product roadmaps.

Act as the primary advocate for quality and reliability across the platform organization.
What we need to see:
-
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field (or equivalent experience)
-
15 overall years of experience with 6 years of managing and leading platforms and quality engineering teams, preferably in a developer platform context.

Demonstrated experience driving significant improvements in system reliability, performance, or operational efficiency for a large-scale developer platform

Strong understanding of modern CI/CD practices and tools.

Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.

Working experience in AI-assisted automation to improve the production testing framework and software quality

Familiarity with NVIDIA’s platform strategy, especially around Physical AI

Ability to evaluate and test our developer platform as a developer persona

Experience working in digital twin and robotics-related fields is a plus!

Your base salary will be determined based on your location, experience, and the pay of employees in similar positions. The base salary range is 320,000 USD - 488,750 USD.
You will also be eligible for equity and benefits.
