About the Role
We are now looking for a System Software Engineer in Automotive or Embedded field! You will work directly in developing or integrating NVIDIA software technologies into various NVIDIA Tegra platforms, including platform bring up, driver porting and integration, use case development, and problem solving. The candidate might work with the other team to provide deep technical assistance and also assist HW to achieve fully optimized design with NVIDIA products and provide HW feedback as to product features and software improvements.
As a valued member of our team, your primary responsibility will be to develop safety-critical firmware and middleware specifically designed for ARM-based CPUs. Your role will directly contribute to the advancement of NVIDIA's automotive autonomous software, supporting both current and future generation hardware platforms. In this position, familiarity with more than one RTOS is considered advantageous.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop and maintain embedded software for ARM based CPUs that enables NVIDIA platforms to run safety‑critical applications
- Collaborate with architecture, hardware and other software teams to design SW with a focus on scalability and re-usability across platforms
- Take ownership of project deliverables by ensuring successful deployment of solutions across platforms
Qualifications
- B.Tech or M.Tech (or equivalent experience) degree in EE/CS or related field
- 5+ years of experience in a software development role
- Proficiency in C programming and low-level driver experience with strong expertise in system-level debugging
- Excellent debugging and analytical skills
- Expertise in ARM CPU architecture and associated SW development
- Experience in at least one production-grade RTOS
Ways to Stand Out
- Skilled in using automation and generative AI tools
- Expertise in more than one RTOS (e.g., SafeRTOS, Zephyr), enabling seamless interoperable SW development for embedded systems
- Experience in developing ISO26262 based safety critical SW for ASIL-D systems
- Ability to work independently with minimum supervision
- Schedule oriented with excellent execution abilities
